Apartamentos Soho Boutique Museo in Malaga

We were really disappointed with the condition of the apartment at Apartamentos Soho Boutique Museo because it was very different from what was shown in the photos and described in the listing. Unfortunately, the reality did not match our expectations.

The apartment was in poor condition and needed much better maintenance and cleaning. The floor was damaged and very dirty, there was mold in different areas, and the air conditioner was leaking condensation onto the wall. The bathroom was especially problematic – the mirror was moldy, some elements were falling apart, and there was a very loud noise when turning on the light. We also noticed that the blanket was stained, the sofas and chairs were dirty and worn, and the furniture did not match what is shown in the pictures. The lighting was extremely insufficient, especially in the bedroom, where it was almost impossible to see properly. Even the curtains were different from the photos.

That said, we would like to point out that the girl at the reception was extremely kind, professional, and helpful. She handled the situation with great understanding and did her job in the best possible way. We truly appreciate her attitude and support. We were also refunded, which we are thankful for.

However, we strongly believe that the property should be presented honestly and accurately. The photos and description should reflect the real condition of the apartment. Misleading guests creates frustration and disappointment and should be avoided. Transparency and proper maintenance are essential to ensure a good experience for future visitors.

AVOID THIS PLACE at all costs, because organized SUITCASE STEALING no less than at the RECEPTION of the apartment in front of your eyes, and you can't do anything about it!
I thought it could only be seen on film, but apparently also in the Soho Boutique Museo apartments.
Let's start from the beginning...
This accommodation was the first in line in a long planned tour of Andalucia that I embarked on with my grandparents (probably their last tour of Andalucia and it was supposed to be special, and it was, but after a serious stress in these apartments that we later tried to forget).
When we got to the apartments, which are really in the center of the old town, we didn't find anyone, the door was locked, there were no instructions on what to do. Fortunately, there was a barely visible contact phone next to the intercom (which we called after twenty minutes of wandering). We found out that check-in takes place at another location, which is fifteen minutes' walk from there. It doesn't seem like much, but it was not easy at all for the grandparents, especially with their suitcases and after a long journey. We arrived at that infamous reception desk. I remember very well that each of us was holding our own suitcase. Grandma and Grandpa, already too tired, sat down on the armchairs in the hall while I talked to the girl who works at the reception, all the time keeping my suitcase with me, at the reception desk. She was typing something into the computer for some time and finally she called us all to sign contracts, or whatever. After that commotion, when we all got up and approached the table, I realized that my suitcase was gone. After thoroughly searching the entire hall and even the sidewalk in front of the hotel, we didn't find a suitcase, but we came across a sign in the lobby that says "The reception is not under video surveillance, we are not responsible for missing things" (or something very similar to that), after which everything was clear to us. After a long explanation with the girl from the reception, we got the answer that she didn't see anything and that she couldn't help us at all, and we didn't even get an apology. It was hopeless, and eventually we gave up. We bought a pair of underpants and t-shirts and continued our journey. But it was a horrible, horrible and stressful experience. If there was a negative rating, Soho Boutique Museo would definitely deserve it! Once again, most sincerely and most well-intentioned: avoid these apartments in a broad arc!
