Lasala Plaza Hotel in San Sebastian

It was a comfortable hotel

Perfect location, great service all around. Convenient that one of the recommended pintxo restaurants is attached to the hotel!

The hotel is very nice. Our view was nice of the harbor. Our only complaint is the bathrooms are in need of some renovations! The bathroom stall had a permanent odor. The shower leaked…a lot! Overall, the rest of the hotel was nice. Staff was friendly.

The Lasala Plaza Hotel rooms and services are excellent, as are the staff. The view of the San Sebastian bay is spectacular from the higher floors and the rooftop. Just a few minutes walk from the sand and water of the bay.

It is also ideally situated right on the edge of the old town and the vibrant bar and food precinct, enabling the savouring of the best traditional pintxos and tapas.

Overall, a great San Sabastion hotel in a perfect location.

Definitely, we will rebook on our return to San Sebastian.

Dry nice but driving to it was an adventure. Fortunately most of the locals are used to giving directions. Overall an excellent place to stay with location and views unmatched by other locales

My wife and I had a brilliant week in San Sebastion. The hotel was perfect in everyway and we would not hesitate to recommend La Sala Plaza to anyone.

The hotel staff were friendly, cheerful, and provided excellent service. The fireworks can be viewed from the rooftop poolside, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing stay during fireworks season. For those visiting San Sebastian to sample the local bars, the hotel is in a great location, just a one-minute walk from the center of the city. This is the place.

**"BAD: Beware of the 'Upgrade'"**

Our priority when booking was the room size and budget, so we reserved a 32m² City View room.

At check-in, the hotel staff offered us an "upgrade." He said that for an additional €25 per day, we could "upgrade," so we agreed.

However, while the room did have a Sea View, the size was downgraded to just 21m². I told them that paying €25 to have a smaller room was a downgrade, but they insisted that the view had been upgraded.

I asked to be moved back to the room we originally booked, but the staff ignored my request for an entire day.

Let me ask you this: if you went to see a new landscape, and the view changed, how would you describe it? You wouldn’t say the landscape itself was "upgraded," would you? You’d say the view was different or better.

The following day, I finally got a response from the staff. They told me I’d need to pay an additional €70 per day if I wanted a 32m² Sea View room.

While the hotel facilities and scenery are excellent, the staff are focused entirely on business and seem to aim to squeeze every extra euro from their guests.

In the end, we ended up paying the €25.

Hotel was very well maintained not only talking about maintenance also facility like window was so strong to protect all noise though we were in the middle of big festival !
Staff were helpful but was not initiative to share the information of festival
Rooftop was plus!
Amenity , no body lotion if you don’t ask
