Leku Eder in San Sebastian

We traveled Northern Spain for 3 weeks and this was our absolute favorite stay! We loved everything about it and so glad we booked it. The staff are amazingly kind and helpful, the rooms and beds were so comfortable. Great shower! Transportation is so easy to and from and the view and location just cannot be beat!

This was our last stop on our 6 week tour of Spain and this hotel was our favourite because it has the personal touch. The family who own it can’t do enough for you and are very kind. It’s not an impersonal chain but a family run place and they make you feel very at home. Our room had amazing views over the bay, the beds very comfortable and it was all very clean. The homemade cakes were delicious as was the breakfast. Bus stop right outside so you can leave the car and explore. Give the chain hotels a miss and stay here, you won’t be sorry.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It’s up on a hill above San Sebastián so quiet and peaceful with amazing sea views and sheep grazing in the garden below our room. There’s a bus stop right outside the hotel with buses every 15 minutes to whisk you down to the old town or further up the hill. The hotel is family run with very friendly helpful staff. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Turned up to San Sebastián in a camper can not expecting to get into one of the two official sites. So looking for a hotel that was available that day, had parking and didn’t cost a fortune. Hotel Leku Eder fitted those criteria so booked. Wasn’t expecting much but was massively surprised. The hotel seemed far more than two star, the staff were lovely and took time to explain about the area, how the busses worked. The room was large and immaculately clean. Decor is traditional so not modern chain decor, better fit it I think. The bathroom had a bath, the height of luxury after a week in a camper van and camp site showers! You can have tea and coffee in the dining room all day, the dining room that has fairly impressive views. We hadn’t booked breakfast but for €8 each seemed a bargain. Limited choice with bread ham and cheese, but lovely bread. Plus you can’t complain if there are croissants and three different home made cakes. So overall, ten out of ten from me.

Hotel Leku Eder was a perfect stop for us. It is up in the hills with amazing views. Although a bit out of town, there is an excellent bus connection into San Sebastián and the stop is right outside the door. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, with a lot of good tips and information. (Take their recommendation for dining in the small town about a 15 minute walk away.) It is an older hotel, not the most modern, but everything is immaculate and well taken care of. There is onsite parking.

Hotel Leku Eder is such a hidden gem! 🏞️ Super chill vibes, with epic views of the sea and mountains. 🌊⛰️ The rooms are cozy and clean, and the staff? Absolutely lovely — they make you feel right at home. 🛏️🫶 It’s a bit out of the city center, but the bus stops right outside, so getting around is easy. 🚌​ Perfect spot if you’re into peaceful mornings with a view and want to escape the hustle. 🌅​

This is a really great hotel, we stayed for 5 nights and we absolutely loved it. Friendly helpful staff, free parking, good sized rooms with comfortable beds and if you pay a little extra you get a room with a balcony and a fabulous sea view. Great breakfast with lots of choice and they also cater for special dietary requirements. Lots of great advice about things to do and see and even which bars to eat at. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel which takes you down the hill to the old town for €1.85. Or you can walk up the hill to the castle and take the funicular railway down. We highly recommend this hotel, it’s a real find for the price.

This is probably only the second review I’ve ever written on Trip Advisor, but this hotel is worth it! This place is SPOTLESS. The staff is so amazing, Elena and Tania were incredible to us. We had a room with a sea view that was spectacular. When we arrived EVERYTHING we asked for they accommodated ABOVE and BEYOND. Extra pillows, CHECK, a fan (not that we needed it with the windows open, but my husband has become accustomed to air movement and fan noise) CHECK, an extra towel for my hair (I have a lot of hair) CHECK. Our taxi came at 6:00 a.m. and they had a “to go breakfast” packed for us that included everything. We used the breakfast room for an evening picnic and the stored our food and “adult beverages” in their refrigerator and even brought us ice several nights in a row. The only thing that ANYONE would miss is nightlife outside the door, but we’re not in our 20’s and SPECIFICALLY didn’t want that. I can see why this hotel is rated #5 for San Sebastián, don’t stay anywhere else. Make sure to book the sea view rooms, so worth the few extra pennies. The decks are huge!
