Strategically located near the metro station, La Rambla and the Gothic Quarter. Spacious, newly-renovated and clean room. Service-oriented front desk receptionists.

Grubby, they charge you for every little thing. Breakfast is terrible, a disgrace to even call it that. I honestly seen a giant cockroach crawling over the floor in the main area. We left our luggage in the safety room which we were charged for and the night porter went to sleep in the room which is supposed to be secure. We couldn't wake him up and couldn't get out belongings in time to catch our bus. The hostel has a good location it's not the best but it is good. No place to sit comfortably and also they don't let you eat or drink in the common room without giving them 10 euros. A joke. Wouldn't return. I give 1 star to warn other travellers although I didn't have a supremely terrible time there. The rooms are very very cramped.

They keep trying to charge different amounts to the card they asked for upon arrival. The hotel stay was already paid for, and a few days after we left, they're still trying to charge significant amounts to the card, which we are having to cancel. This has never happened to us before; we are now going to report it to the police.

Given the location, if I had known beforehand that it was near the Rambla, I would have ruled it out without wasting time, and only then did I check its exact address.
I chose to trust them, unaware that I would encounter a receptionist whose "know-how," equivalent to zero, managed to waste my time and give me a headache.
I also wonder how they can leave people like this on the night shift, people who have absolutely no idea about customer service and who just stick to the script.

Dont book this place. They gave us a private room that was painted the day before. When we walked in the smell of paint was really strong and we had to queue at the front desk for 1 hour to get a room switch. They freshly painted all private rooms with double bed, so we had to downgrade to a room with single bed/bunk bed. There was no refund or any sort of compensation. (Front desk promised free breakfast but never got back to us, and breakfast was so bad everything was packed food).

It was good but rooms were very cold. They just provided a very think sheet to pul over in the night with one pillow.
