Madrid, Carmen, 4 (in the centre) 🧭 Map
I had an excellent stay. Bonus they had a celebration to turn on the Christmas lights at the plaza and you could see it from the balcony.
Room is nicely spaced and clean. Good place to come back to after exploring all day.
The property is in a convenient location to walk to shops/restaurants. After 11am, the taxi cannot drop off/pick up directly in front of hotel.
The staff are friendly However, the room is in the 60s and the free WiFi did not work in the room(only in the lobby). The sound insulation is minimal so you will hear the sound from other rooms as well as from the window
If you're looking for a moderately priced hotel in Madrid, Hotel Europa far exceeds expectations. The service is fantastic, and the breakfast buffet is spot-on. Plus, the location—right in Puerta del Sol—is unbeatable!
The rooms may have older furniture, but it’s well-made and adds to the charm. Rooms overlook either a quiet courtyard or a bustling pedestrian area, giving you the best of both worlds...
Excellent service! All the staff were very helpful and attentive. Wonderful view outside our balcony. Large shower was wonderful. Would certainly stay again! It's very walkable and great location.
The hotel is clean and the staff is professional and helpful. My room however looked nothing like the room in the photos (see my photo). The hotel is very very basic and in need of upgrades. The noise from the plaza made it very difficult to sleep. My windows did not lock. Not many good dining options immediately around the hotel area. Recommended for the budget traveler. I had hoped for much more...
Nice and beautiful place to enjoy cools drinks as you master your adventures in Madrid.

Great location and helpful staff. Rooms are very basic and you can hear a lot of noise from others in the corridors. Would avoid if a light sleeper. Good for one night, no frills.
A decent hotel in the heart of Madrid. The rooms are only small, but clean and comfortable. Right next to Chueca and the central gay district. So much to see and do in the surrounding streets.
Perfect stay in downtown Madrid. A room for 3 very confortable et good size. So lucky to have a patio.
Very well located to explore the historic downtown, and close to the subway (Calleo and Gran Via) to explore the other neighborhood.
Lots of restaurants, shopping options.
Surprisely calm.
The staff is very welcoming.
The location is perfect! On the gran.
I payed for a larger room and what I got is a room that was probably originally one big room that split to 2, became my room was very small and has some sort of a wall in side or cubicle in the middle of the room. It felt like there’s a room inside ours. We’ve complained and got a different room but had to wait 2 hours for it.
We was for 2 months in Europe. From London,Barcelona,Lisbon,Paris, etc. This hotel is the best of all hotels ,spectacular views, incredible service, very clean, excellent location and wonderful reception people. This hotel is very very nice.
Nice hotel, perfect location, staff very respectful.
I strongly recommend it.

I have stayed here for the past three years. The prices have become too expensive now for the room I get. There was no bidet and the room was small, but it was quiet. Staff at the desk are very. Ice and helpful and the location is great!
Location is good and convenient.
Next to hangout area, surrounded by many restaurants and be able to acees to public transport both metro and bus, totally recommend for your time in Madrid.
Located in the city center, the location is excellent, the commercial street is just outside the door, the room is very clean, there is a kettle and coffee, arrived at night, it is very close to go out for dinner and shopping, it only takes a few minutes, the front desk service attitude is very thoughtful and meticulous, I will come again
The location is very convenient, close to all attractions, and the surrounding area is very good.
When I checked in, the store upgraded me to a family room because there were no small rooms, which can be used by two adults and two children. The bathroom details are very good. If there are children taking a bath in it, there is a bell to press, which is a thoughtful design.
There is a large public space...
The location is great, the rooms are clean, and it's great for staying alone. The staff is friendly and helpful. I would like to visit again.

Good hotel in the center. A bit loud. Excellent breakfast
Excellent place to stay and explore the city. Comfortable suites and good office venues.
Stayed at this hotel for close to a week where we had internal meetings. Clean rooms, decent breakfast. Place is conveniently located in the center of attractions making it accessible. Highly recommended if you want convenience and decent food and lodging.
Great location, room size was what you'd expect of a city hotel. Room itself was modern and well appointed with views of Gran Via but soundproofed enough to keep sound out. Excellent value for the price, since the hotel is within a short walk of all major attractions in the heart of Madrid. There is also the Gran Via metro stop right outside. Staff were excellent as well....very polite, professional...

The hotel is Clean and the staff’s is very attentive and the morning breakfast lack off variety but taste is good .
good and nice and best location near station! room is clean and breakfast all good
The room is spacious and bright, very clean, very good!
Although there is a big pit in front of the door, it is worth recommending:
Convenient transportation, near Chamartin subway and train station,
Sumptuous breakfast, breakfast is very important for people on business trips
Good hygiene, actually newer than the hotel promotional pictures
The room is not small, much larger than most hotels in Europe.
Compared to three stars, I am willing to give it four...
The location was perfect for us since we were traveling from Chamartín.
Incredible breakfast!!
The reception staff were super friendly! Especially Olivia 💕
The breakfast, the parking at Parking Norte and the location perfect.
The bed and pillows were very bad. It had broken legs and wheels, so it moved constantly and made a lot of noise while I slept. The pillows were so soft that they offered no support to my head.

The location was very good but the bed is small and move in every single movement.
Not very clean unfortunately and no glass to drink water from and no water to drink as well
The location seems perfect to me. I think they should spend a little more time improving the rooms. The bathroom ceiling in the one I stayed in was chipped, and there was no ceiling light in the room, just two small lamps.
The location was spectacular, the room very clean and tidy. Super quiet, I recommend it.
Great location, metro nearby. Balcony in the room is very large. There is no hanger for clothes in the closet.
Perfect location💯, overall it's OK, the lack of hot water is particularly terrible, I remember that European hotels were not like this before, now you can only go to the first floor to get hot water, this hotel can only heat the tap water for you in the microwave...

Mediocre experience…
Good:
- Location
- Spacious
Bad:

- worn / things falling apart
- horrible mattress (way too soft / worn)
- cards constantly malfunctioning / needed to be reactivated

I had a good stay at Petit Palace, thanks to Albert and his amazing team. They were incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home.
At first, my company booked me a single room, but it was right next to the elevator. The head of the bed was by the door, and I could hear everything—conversations, the elevator, and luggage rolling by. I only managed to sleep three hours that night.
Thankfully,...
Just left here a couple of days ago, the rooms are okay, not wow. They're good if you're in a pinch. BUT, the service is excellent. I left my watch on a table in my room and realized when I had gotten to the airport. It was 4:30 in the morning and I called the front desk where Beatriz was working. She quickly went to the room and found it and after making a couple of calls, she sent it over on a taxi...
Really good location. Friendly staff. They have a good breakfast but I would recommend a better variety. The slope of the ceiling in the room where we stayed was a bit annoying because I bumped my head a few times, but the room was very beautiful (the shower was missing a door as it wet the floor a lot when we showered). The window in the ceiling was very useful for us to withstand the strong heat...
Chose this hotel due to location and positive reviews and we weren't disappointed. Staff were all so friendly and helpful, they even provided mini bottle fizz, personalised postcards and mini cakes to celebrate our wedding anniversary and my birthday.
Excellent location to either walk to many places or jump on metro.

This place is really well located and I could walk to just about anything that I wanted to. The staff was also really nice. They let me store my luggage at the hotel early on check in day and store it until late on check out day. Always very positive interactions. It was an Amazing stay, location is just perfect, 1 sec walk from Gran Via, near Primark, Zara, Uniqlo and best other shops, lots of place to eat around. The breakfast in the hotel was good, but the coffee machine was broken most of the days we stayed there. The people in the front desk were lovely and helped us with everything we needed.
great location
the hotel is small but its great service is great breakfast is also great and also the location is excelent
Rooms with very old and dilapidated furniture. Broken push buttons and no TV antenna signal.
Very good stay, exceptional location, impeccable service, cleanliness, breakfast I highly recommend it
The only problem was the soundproofing of the corridors and neighboring rooms
I highly recommend
Since we arrived at the property everything was excellent. The staff were always very friendly and helpful. We stayed with our five year old and they were always very kind and lovely with her. The hotel was great value for money. Location was amazing with easy walking access across the tourist destinations. Room was a bit small. The room temperature was very high and the staff kindly listened to the issue and tried to solve the problem but still it couldn't get fixed. The only solution was to open the balcony door at night to keep the room temperature reasonable.
Perfect stay-excellent value, the staff was kind and helpful when it came to printing necessary travel documents, the breakfast was great, and the room was more than comfortable. I’ll be returning next time I’m in Madrid.
Nice hotel overall! The reception lady was very nice. There was a bit of an old smell when we came into the room. I’d say cleanness is 7/10. But it’s nice to stay in. Not bad or anything. Pretty nice hotel in the centre of Madrid. It is quite a simple room, but it is clean and comfortable—definitely worth the price, especially considering its location in the city.

Good location, friendly staff, suits for business short stay
Cool and silent room which is clean and bright with a small balcony to watch the street not to sit down. There’s a fridge and nespresso kinda coffee machine in the room and the air-conditioning is manually controlled. Also the stuff is okay not to much of a talk. There were no free anything in the lobby and even we are two peopl there was only one bottle of water in the room only for the first day...

The good: well-appointed rooms, the bathroom in particular is modern with very good fixtures.
Excellent checking/front desk staff. Easily the most professional, courteous and friendly of any AC brand that I've experienced in Europe. I appreciated being able to check in early.

I stayed here for one night and thought the hotel was very nice and service was excellent. The front desk was very helpful and kind. The room was spacious and clean and nice. I had breakfast in the morning and the options were great and the food was tasty.
The thing I like:
Convenient location
Cold water serving at lobby
Good Bar at the lobby
Good room service
The thing I do not like:
I have been staying for seven days, And they only provide me two bottles of 250ml water in this seven days, no refill, and they are selling water bottle for 2.5 euro at lobby.
Could be more ESG friendly if you can give me option no to replace my tower everyday
We have stayed 1-2 weeks each every year in the last 3 years and it has always been a great experience that we keep coming back.
The staff is super friendly and hospitable. I have seen a lot of them again and again in the last years and they always have a smile on their face and goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable.
The breakfast is really nice and the restaurant downstairs - Talcuan...
Nice, quiet location a short walk from the Cartagena Metro stop. Nice breakfast restaurant, with a great spread and wonderful staff. All the interactions with the hotel staff were very nice. The room was large with twin beds (I was a solo traveler), and everything about it, including the bathroom was very impressive.
Room is quite small for three adults and the room is not really sound-proof, can hear the people talking/TV sounds. However, it is quite convenience to get to Plaza de toros Monumental de Las Ventas. Also, there's a supermarket nearby!

We had a really good experience with this place. The personnel was nice and helpful, the rooms were spacious and clean, while the location was great for us, situated pretty close to metro stations. The cleaning service was also very good, doing its job every single day. It wasn't cheap, but I would say that it's worth it!
Small rooms but clean. CAREFUL with id cards don't forget to ask for it back. I had to pay to get mine back. Location is great ambiance restaurants .
Pros:
* superb breakfast,
* very friendly reception staff,
* clean room,
* access to the swimming pool,
* large washroom,
* convenient location (two metro stations nearby).
Cons:
* central air conditioning was not working strongly enough in hot July (it was hard to sleep in the hot room),
* kind of outdated and worn out furniture in the room.
Absolutely excellent hotel in the outskirts of central Madrid. Clean and comfortable at a decent price. Has a pool but it's not always open to hotel guests.
Excellent choice located at the north center of Madrid. Very good breakfast, super clean rooms, friendly staff and close to metro stations in line 10 (2 blocks) and line 1 (4 blocks). Shops, restaurants and convenience stores all around. Very much recommended!
Hotel is quite old and worn down. Was a fine stay for a few nights but wouldn't stay here again. Many much nicer and newer hotels in the area. Nothing was dirty but it definitely felt very used which was unpleasant.

Surprisingly the hotel have spacious rooms that are clean and well maintained, not like hotel rooms in Europe in general. Comfy bed and clean towels. The slight negative I could possibly put about the rooms is they not provide electric kettle and iron.
Quite pleased with everything on the breakfast, fresh bread, jams, cheese, coffee/tea/varied hot chocolate and fruits. City street view from the restaurant...

The hotel facilities are relatively new, very close to the subway station, and the minibar provides free drinks. The breakfast is relatively simple, and the soundproofing is not very good. It is really not worth 1500 a night. I will not choose to stay here when I come to Madrid again
The hotel is in a good location, within walking distance of famous attractions and business districts in the city. The room is small but comfortable, the breakfast is rich, and the service is good. The overall stay experience is good and worth recommending!

The location was especially good. We were pleased with everything about the hotel. I will stay at the same hotel next time I visit Madrid.

The location is very good, very close to the subway station and the old town. I highly recommend this hotel, which is relatively cheap on Gran Vía and in very good condition.
Good, but there is no place to control the temperature. The heating is sometimes cold and sometimes hot.
