We had a great stay in this fabulous hotel. Great location and fabulous service
The hotel's location, facilities, rooms, and amenities are all perfect. The service level is generally good, although a few staff members fall short (some servers aren't as considerate, for example, their attitude when clearing plates at breakfast isn't very friendly, and their English isn't great). Otherwise, an overall score of 4.8 or higher would be no problem.
Great location and breakfast was decent. However, the staff's service was really poor, and their attitude was terrible. Their English skills were also quite basic. They seemed to pick on those they perceived as weaker. It was quite amusing when their attitude completely changed and softened once they realized they couldn't argue with us in English.
Room itself and location were fantastic. Spotless, tidy, well equipped. Very walkable to all main attractions. Only thing was that the reception and concierge weren’t the most friendly / empathetic to our concerns about finding alternative routes when our trains got cancelled and we were trying to ask them for help with it.
The location is convenient and the room is decent, but the service was absolutely terrible – the worst we've encountered in Spain. The front desk staff avoided eye contact and had a very arrogant attitude. It wasn't until we voiced our complaints in English that their demeanor shifted, offering those fake European smiles, which was quite amusing in itself.
The room decor was high quality, I especially loved the wallpaper and tiles. The staff were friendly and attentive. The location was excellent. It was just a few minutes' walk from the Prado Museum, which meant I could go to the free evening sessions every day to see my favorite artworks.

Excellent Hotel, very attentive and good location.
The service was great, and the staff were all very enthusiastic. The view from the higher floors is excellent. I just hope they can upgrade the hairdryer.
They say traveling in Europe can be a real hassle, but this place really prioritizes safety! I didn't have to worry about anything getting lost. Plus, you don't even need a European adapter; your domestic chargers work fine! The breakfast selection was also excellent. My stay was super comfortable, and I had a great time!
A real 5* experience just outside of the center. Due to its location, often booked by conference or other groups, which gives the usual tourist guest a bit of an overwhelming feeling. The reception is understaffed to my opinion, expect to queue and wait your turn. Nothing about the service though, the whole team is very friendly and accommodating. Dining on the 30th floor with its amazing view is a...
The hotel is far from the city centre. It takes almost half an hour by UBER or taxi to arrive in the city centre. The area near the hotel has 4 tall towers, and a few minutes away is a little sunken area with a few restaurants and clothing shops, but no supermarket nearby. In the lobby of the hotel there were many visitors dressed in suits everyday for conventions. They often blocked us when we tried...
❗️ The door handles are very sharp metal, which I think would be dangerous in a slippery area like the bathroom, especially if you have children with you. For me personally been traveling quite a lot countries and stay different luxury or normal 4/5 stars hotels, it is the first time seeing this kinda unreasonable design. I cannot imagine what gonna happen if someone slipped.❗️
😉 The room was of a...

We had a truly wonderful stay at the InterContinental Madrid. From the moment we arrived, we were delighted to be upgraded to a beautiful suite with full access to the Club Lounge, an unexpected and very generous surprise that immediately set the tone for our stay.
The experience was made even more special as we were celebrating my partner’s birthday. The hotel went above and beyond by arranging a...
Came here for the brunch. The staff weee quite helpful, the food was exceptional. My kid, took part in the cooking class, they had great fun. We got a cocktail, where the barman showed us how to make it. Overall my experience was exceptional
Although the hotel is a bit old-fashioned, it's clean, tidy, and has a warm, festive Christmas atmosphere. The front desk and lobby staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly. My room had a terrace, offering beautiful views of Madrid city during sunrise and sunset. The floor attendant was exceptional; if I missed the cleaning time, she'd thoughtfully leave her cart by my door so I could grab water...
Upon walking in, you can already tell this hotel takes their service seriously. The staff at the door is very welcoming, along with everyone else inside. During check in, we were given a complimentary upgrade. I was expecting a slightly bigger room or bathroom and did not expect the suite-like room (we were in 406)! It was such a wonderful surprise walking in to a luxurious room after a one-month long...
It was a wonderful experience, Hotel's persons were outstanding: Carlos the doorman was just great, incredibly useful, kind and very nice. Deyanira at the Club was perfect and always taking care of our minimum needs in a very gracious way. Susana, Clara and Laura at the Club were outstanding. At the Concierge Andres, Ricardo, Daniel and tge others were wonderful. We have stayed in excellent Hotels...

Nice, clean and SIMPLE hotel rooms, so don't expect detail, elegance, luxury or "cosy". Even the better rooms are just rooms, bed, desk, chair, lights. No rug or carpet. Nice bathroom!
Now, View was spectacular from a specific room, and amenities are really great. Gym doesn't have a tower or chinup/pullup/dip capability. Pool is indoor so all weather conditions. Sauna was so nice. Very impressive actually...

Booking through Trip.com felt very secure.
Everything was great, I have just one small observation, and I hope you will accept it from me with an open mind: the corridors of the floors are dark, and the colors of the walls are so dark that it is frightening at night.
The hotel is very central and metro station is right outside (but the lift to metro platform is about 5 min walk). Bath room is very pretty but shower is a bit weak in terms of water pressure. The room was quiet and wifi was very fast. Breakfast was superb, although starts 7:30 during weekends which is bit late for me to start the early morning conference sessions. Overall, I’m very happy with the...

The hotel felt really luxurious, it felt like I was at the Plaza.
Everything was perfect. The staff in particular. Kind. Friendly. There is real human soul in this lovely hotel. I ebjoyed every moment i spent there.
Super friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast with lots of choices, and the location is perfect — everything’s within walking distance.
The only disappointment was the SPA. The hotel name and even ******* advertise it as a “Hotel & SPA,” but it turns out you have to pay extra to use it. It would be much nicer if the price was just a bit higher and included the spa, so guests wouldn’t have that...
They were cleaning the carpet along the steps, so had to be weary of the steps when walking. Also, found some hair on our shower wall which was disconcerting. Otherwise, the staff were very welcoming and there was a focos vibe about the hotel.
Nice hotel with an old world and classic style.

Great service! The room with a terrace and street view on the 7th floor is very good. Free club drinks and food, delicious! The old gentleman in the club is very cute! The front desk gentleman even drew a suitcase for me to communicate with because of the language barrier, haha

Facilities: Beautiful and new; I loved the hotel's futuristic/space-themed design, and the bedding was very comfortable. Hygiene: Good. Environment: Great location, convenient transportation. I really liked the pure white decor. Service: Excellent. There's a restaurant downstairs, which is convenient for meetings.
Far away from city center.. very near to metro station.
Hotel doesn’t give coffee, tea inside the room.
No tooth brush and tooth paste.
Mixed experience. Hotel was interestingly designed with very helpful reception staff. They observed me showing up with crutches and offered a room with a walk-in shower. It ended up still being impossible to shower safely, so they brought a shower wheelchair which unfortunately couldn't fit into the (very narrow) shower area. The staff were very helpful and warm.
However; the room lacked ample charging...
Room but dated
Approximated 8mins walk to subway which is acceptable

Wonderful hotel! Service was excellent. Bedding was amazing. The unique designs of each floor was interesting and quirky.
The only downside is that some of the designs can affect functionality for example the bathtub took a long time to fill up.
Hotel Puerta América in Madrid is a five-star hotel 🏨 known for its designer aesthetic, with each floor boasting a unique style. The service is excellent; I was able to check in early. It's conveniently located right by a subway station, making transport a breeze.

It's a Beautiful hotel. Located at perfect location. Every place is near by at walking distance. I hardly used any uber or taxi. Food is good. They have indoor clean pool as well.
And the lounge area is perfect to come and relax after one's day of roaming in the city. Staff is always greeting you with so much warmth.
Cheers to the amazing holiday time to Everyone 🎉.
This hotel set the tone for our trip in the best possible way. From the moment we arrived, it felt as though we were being welcomed like VIPs even after a long travel day when we weren’t at our best. One of my favorite hotels in the world. The rooms and the beds are big, it has all the amenities, the breakfast buffet is one of the best. The staff is very nice. It’s located in a super accessible point. Highly recommend this hotel if you’re going to Madrid.
Hotel is very well located. The staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming. The rooms are comfortable, although the décor and facilities are starting to feel a little dated.

Best bathroom of a hotel I've stayed un Europe. Beds are big and comfortable. Rooms are spacious and the hotel in general is a high standard 5 star hotel. The location is in the heart of Madrid, close to every single attraction. Nothing can go wrong with this hotel (except the price tag of course).
This hotel features a stylish design and an excellent location, right in the heart of the old town. It's conveniently close to many attractions, making it very easy to explore the city. While the rooms are on the smaller side, it's still regarded as one of the better hotel options in the area.
Excellent location, with most attractions within walking distance. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, making for a very pleasant stay. The hotel boasts a great design, and room service was incredibly prompt. Highly satisfied.
This is a serious complaint about the restaurant Market of this hotel. I stayed here for three days this time, every time I sit there for more than 10mins just to wait for service. Really nice hotel in a really great location that was convenient for the work conference I was at. Great and friendly staff. Excellent old world hotel that continues to earn its five stars. It's a beautiful place and well maintained it's got all the amenities and service that you'd expect from a five star hotel. Unfortunately at check out, the staff was unable to manage the billing on my invoice to make submitting of my business expense easy. Perhaps they should keep the old world feel, but update their computer system
Good hotel. Good views of the city.
Rooms were alright, beds good, furniture aged.
Some of the hotel staff is very helpful, others don’t seem to care or put forth effort to make your stay excellent.
Great location. Walking distance to a great deal of shops, restaurants, and activities.
Breakfast is great, bar is good. M29 is alright.
Nice friendly hotel with a classic feel. Nice public areas. Restaurant and spa but I didn't try them. Rooms quite brown and authentic wood finish. Interesting painting to cheer the room up. Room safe is tiny and lack of power sockets. Room I had overlooked the rear garden and was very quiet. Fairly central but still a 25 minute walk and metro into the real old town.
True story: I was travelling in a group and all our bags had been put inside a van. On the way -- and that too 2 hours later -- I realised that my backpack was still in the hotel lobby. The tourist guide on the bus said there was little chance of getting it back. We took a chance and found that the hotel staff had kept the bag in a safe spot. Thanks for that. And as far as the hotel goes... Brilliant...

The environment is fantastic, right on the main shopping street, making it super convenient to get around. You can easily walk to Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol, and there are tons of great food options nearby. Oh, and the hotel breakfast is amazing – easily one of the best in all of Madrid!
Great hotel. Superb location right on Gran Via. The proximity to the shopping and Centro district is great. The breakfast spread is excellent with several items available for a la carte ordering. Hotel rooms are new and well appointed. Room has a nespresso machine, wooden floors and comfortable beds. Highly recommend!

The location of the hotel is OK, but the room is very average, not very big, more than 9,000 a night, not even including breakfast, not worth it. Next time I come to Madrid, I will choose the JW Marriott opposite, just across the street.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Exceptional Service in the Face of the Unexpected
My stay at Hotel Villa Real in Madrid was nothing short of impressive, and what truly sets this hotel apart is how they treat their guests when things don’t go perfectly.

They also welcomed us with beautiful chocolates and water out of a a glass bottle in our rooms, which I really appreciated because of the dangerous from microplastics in plastic bottles. This was a great place to stay! In the heart of the museum triangle and walking distance to the Literary District and Plaza Mayor. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly (you can even borrow a plug converter when you forget yours). Will be staying there again the next time we visit Madrid.
Great Hotel in a very good location close to good stuff. Great restaurants, museums, walking areas, downtown, embassies, etc. staff is attentive & welcoming. The Sweet corner was a big hit for my daughter. She absolutely loved the pillows in the room & bed was comfortable. Will be back if visiting Madrid.
