Reviews
I would point out the following advantages: approximately 300m from the beach, good breakfast (omelet, toast, butter, jam, fresh juice, coffee/tea), and friendly staff.
Main disadvantages of the accommodation are the location and staff behavior.
It is less than 100m from the extremely busy A2 road and 10m from a side road which is quite noisy almost all the time (scooters, tuk-tuks, etc.).
Additionally, the accommodation is located next to a temple where there were noisy events on two occasions (one starting at 7am with loud drumming, the second lasting until 10:30pm); weak WiFi internet access; noisy air conditioner; strong sewerage smell in the bathroom; and ants in the room.
Regarding the staff, they don't seem to care about guests' comfort. From 6am they talk loudly, open the gate, and start tuk-tuks/scooters. From 7am they move tables and chairs, and sometimes their dog barks early in the morning or at night.
There is a huge amount of flies during breakfast time. Once I had ants on my plate with my omelet and on my toast.
As I mentioned, the staff is friendly but largely ineffective. Solving even a minor issue like changing a light bulb is a difficult task for them. I always need to remind them multiple times. Every time they perform some actions, but in the end there is zero effect.
A serious safety and privacy incident occurred on the second day.
While I was away from the hotel, staff entered my occupied room without my knowledge, presence, or consent and moved all of my personal belongings to another room. There was no emergency or safety situation that could justify such actions.
At the time, my belongings were fully unpacked and placed around the room. This included personal clothing and underwear belonging to both myself and my daughter. Hotel staff therefore accessed and handled intimate personal items, which represents a severe breach of safety, privacy, and trust — especially involving a child.
I was not notified in advance and only discovered this after returning to the hotel.
Any prior agreement to stay one night in a different room was a goodwill gesture only and did not authorize the hotel to enter my room or relocate my personal belongings without explicit consent.
I tried to communicate with the hotel manager. She doesn't admit any wrongdoing and doesn't seem to realize the seriousness of her actions and violations.
First, she made an overbooking, which was the root cause of the issue. Then, after we returned to the accommodation, she informed us that she had moved our belongings. I tried to explain to her that this is a serious violation, but she blamed us, saying we didn't check in on time, and tried to prove it was entirely our fault.
So I have come to the conclusion that the hotel management doesn't understand basic rules and principles, and is very unprofessional and rude.
They dont allow take any food to the room unlike other places. They ask you to come down and eat where there are no fans and full of mosquitoes. Basically bed and cupboard placed in the room and no other basic furniture like a chair, table and cloth rack.
Not in a peaceful place. Very noisy at night.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Pearl Resort! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the lovely husband-and-wife duo who run the place with such care and kindness. Their hospitality made us feel right at home, and they were always happy to help with anything we needed.
Our room was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and peaceful, with a silent air conditioner that kept it perfectly cool without any noise—making for a truly restful sleep. The real highlight, though, was the huge and delicious breakfast they served every morning. Fresh fruit, eggs, toast, and local specialties—it was an incredible feast that set us up perfectly for the day ahead!
The location was great, and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing, making it the ideal place to unwind. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and we highly recommend Pearl Resort to anyone looking for a warm, welcoming, and comfortable stay. We’ll definitely be back!
Clean room with air conditioning, at any time on request the host will change linen and clean the room. Delicious English breakfast (scrambled eggs, toast, butter, jam, fruit or juice, tea or coffee).
Good internet, in the evening it is nice to sit on the balcony at the table, breakfast is also served there.
We were going to stay for a week, but stayed for three and would love to come again!
