I recently stayed at City Motel in Colombo, and here are my thoughts:
For the price of 1100 LKR per night with a 24-hour checkout, this motel offers decent value. The room includes a clean single bed, a chair, and even a mirror and shirt hanger. One particularly useful feature is the plug socket that supports multiple plug types (UK, EU, etc.), so there’s no need to worry about adapters. The fan in the room works well, keeping the space comfortable, and the tiled flooring gives the room a fresh look.
However, it's important to have realistic expectations at this budget. The toilet facilities are basic, but both Western and Indian styles are available. Bathing is in a shared public bathroom with separate areas for men and women. The room did have a small amount of dirt and spider webs, and it could use more regular cleaning.

Worst experience in this room. Very old interiors, damaged door and bathroom facilities as well. Not properly cleaned. Price also too high for family rooms. Because of one common bathroom. Also the water supply from the taps in the bathroom very slow.
The smell come from lots of Naptaline balls are irritating. Room and everything was below than average.
It may useful for the unplanned very urge accommodation for a short time. But not for a relaxation or a holiday trip.

Good accommodation , cheap and cheerful for a one night stay for the airport next day . Shared accommodation but my room had 4 beds but I was the only person in there . Shared showers and western loos but they are quite clean . High security , wouldn't allow my mates in to use the shower only the person paying .

There was a best facilities in this lodge at starting time.but now Room facilities,Entire part's clean,Bathroom facility are totally in very bad conditions.Charging fees for rooms are very high.

Mostly suitable for families. It is situated in Old Moor street. Silent and best place to stay. And we can enter and check out anytime. Also they offer Air drop car services it's very easy to go to Airport so we don't neer to find can services

Good for very short stay, not for the long term. location was good near to station. but room and everything was below than average.
