Me and my family had a lovely stay at the Viveka hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable with good AC. And the staff were all very friendly and accommodating! It is a short taxi/tuk ride away from central Colombo

Exceptional service, they really went out of their way to help us. The rooms were great; bathroom were spacious and the shower was great, the rooms had great an awesome fan and aircon for the heat and the wifi was excellent. Would recommend.

For the price its a nice little spot with access to an amazing Chinese restaurant. The TVs in all the rooms dont work eleven though they have them. Lots of noise from outside, rumbling bass from somewhere. Overall i would stay again

Chose this hotel because of its name. Perhaps due to the upcoming Chinese New Year, I didn't see any Chinese guests during my entire stay. The decor is entirely traditional Chinese, with a charming sense of history. It's very close to the Lotus Tower. Unfortunately, being right by the main road, the room was very noisy at night. The air conditioner had a mind of its own, making extremely loud noises...

I have stayed at this hotel before and it’s a good place for a short visit. Only downside is that, the noise from the railway track. Otherwise, I don’t have any problems staying here again.

This place is good for single travelers and some of the rooms are too closer to the railway tracks and can be woken up in the morning by the sound of the trains. Other than that, this hotel is pretty good.

I stayed for 4 hours. Late night check-in and early morning check-out were no problem, and the room was clean.

I would not stay here again due to the noise levels into the evenings which prevented me from sleeping. Its a shame as other than the noise its a lovely Hotel, with friendly staff and its very clean and modern. I have raised the issue with the hotel (as well as raising when I was there) but am yet to hear anything back

One of the more affordable hotels, but for me a very good one in a great location. The staff was very friendly—truly exceptionally nice. The rooms were clean and cozy, and the breakfast was very good. There was nothing to complain about, and I would definitely come back. The location was fantastic, And the best part was the bed size and the cleanliness of the bathroom and toilet…which was incredibly clean considering the price. I will definitely stay here again when I come back to Colombo.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel's surrounding facilities were excellent. There's a KFC right outside and a supermarket. Getting around was very convenient too; even though I didn't know my way around, the front desk staff enthusiastically helped me hail a taxi. Plus, there's a simple breakfast and free WiFi. I stayed here alone. I have no complaints about the room itself, but it was a hassle because there was no staff present during check-in and check-out. For check-in, I couldn't even get into the building because the entrance wouldn't open. Also, if you stay for consecutive nights, there's no room cleaning service.

We had a great stay, the location is great to explore Colombo. Both restaurants served delicious food and the room was very spacious with a comfortable bed. Would definitely recommend.

This hotel is a little Gem. It is close to all amenities but far enough to be in a quiet residential area. The rooms are very comfortable and decorated with beautiful furniture. The people of the hotel are the nicest people you will meet and the restaurant on site is very good

Great place with two nice restaurants just a short Tuk Tuk ride from the sights. Very tranquil and relaxing even though in city center. One can see the lotus tower from the rooftop pool. Will try to stay with them again.

A beautiful hotel in a quiet location. It has a unique style that makes you want to wander around and explore everything. The staff was pleasant. Breakfast was good. I think you could spend a few days here. However, I think some areas of the rooms could use some cosmetic renovations. There's a refrigerator, hairdryer, kettle, and TV in the room. The WiFi worked fine.

The location is excellent, in the city center, with many restaurants nearby. The rooms offer great value for money, and the shared bathrooms and showers are reasonably clean. It's a good option for solo travelers.

I stayed here for one night. The room was clean and the WiFi was reasonably fast. The shower was a bit of a disappointment. There were plenty of stylish bars and restaurants nearby, so I didn't have any trouble finding a place to eat. I highly recommend this hotel for those visiting Colombo at the beginning or end of their trip.

This is a sweet little hotel right on marine drive with the most magnificent views of the sea with the occasional train chugging past. The place is maintained very well. It's decent. This place gets quite busy, so you usually need to book in advance. It might not be ideal for a good rest because some guests stay up late, while others head out as early as 6 AM, which can be a bit disruptive.

The young man at the front desk had a great attitude; he was very patient, answered all my questions, and helped me solve a problem – much appreciated! The room was spotless. The hotel's location is excellent, very convenient for visiting all the attractions.

My friend and I stayed here for one night. The staff was nice and they held our bags after checkout so that we didn’t have to carry them around. The room had a musty smell to it and the hotel is a bit run-down. If you’re looking for fancy, this isn’t it. If you’re just looking for a place to sleep and shower for a night, this is acceptable. Really worth for money. Rooms are clean and washroom also well maintained. Location is very near to Galle road. Few things to improve are need to change the bedsheet and towels. They're little old but seems like they dry wash it cleanly. And may be earlier some people mistakenly kept the ironbox on table and it's having some burned things on ironing part. Check in took me like 15 minutes even when i already booked few days ago. there are no windows in rooms. hot water didn't worked. Bathroom is very small . i can almost hear everything from the other room. but for the price i've paid couldn't expect more. very reasonable prices. and the staff is very understanding. perfect for budget, if they can improve house keeping too.

Decent place to stay. But the room which I stayed doesn’t have windows but fully airconditioned. Rooms are quiet a bit noisy but they are bearable. But when functions are happening in the hall the sound of the bass is much audible. That was a bit irritating. Other things are ok. Staffs are kind and helpful. Value for money.

Great place. Great staff and pretty decent accommodations! For the price, I think it's the best. They exchange money. What I didn't like was that there were a lot of people walking outside the door, and it was very loud, like in our room! And the bed linens were tired. Also, there was no hot water.

Spent a lovely weekend here. The room was spacious and comfortable and comes wth a jacuzzi. There's access to a lovely deck area to spend evenings. Only had breakfast, which was decent. Surprisingly quiet/peaceful though within proximity of a busy road.

Best hotel in Galle comparing the price. I must recommend everybody. People are here very cordial. Thanks to the receptionist for his nice behavior. You will get Mosque in 5 mins of walking distance. And so many Halal restaurants nearby the hotel.

Fine for one night but I do not recommend for solo female travellers. I was the only female and did not feel overly safe. But, the staff were lovely and good location.

This place is not fit for habitation. There's a lot of mold and a strong smell of mold and some kind of chemical throughout the entire building. And literally everything is so outdated! All the furniture is completely dilapidated and dirty. It looked much better in the photos! We didn't stay there; we left immediately and submitted a cancellation request, which, of course, was not confirmed.

Stayed here after our flight and had late check in with no issues. Staff were very kind & informative. No issues! Hotel had towels & water. There was a security guard down stairs at all time who also ordered a tuktuk for us to get food. Very helpful

We order mix Nasi goreng ( taste good but reduce the spicy ) and dum chicken biryani ( taste ok) and we order beverages Milo milk shek and pineapple juice and lime juice. This is a good restaurant with tasty food and friendly staff. However, the management could improve on maintaining cleanliness, particularly in the hand washing area - the sinks appeared dirty. Having visited a few times, I've noticed this issue persists. Given the state of the wash basins, I opted not to use the restroom.

Comfortable and clean room. No frills as such. Just the basics for what you pay. Value for money overall. The hotel can be a little noisy, as in you can hear people moving around the halls but it isn't bad enough to keep you up at night.

While the hotel is a bit dated it’s in a really good location and a very good value for price. The staff have always been friendly to me and I recommend staying here. Feedback to owner would be to not allow smoking onsite.
