Nice clean room, spacious and cheap. Very accommodating and welcoming staff ( I believe it is family run)

We had a lovely 2 nights stay here! Really enjoyed it and was in a good location of turtle beach and loads of restaurants! The host was also lovely!!

Tamara Motels is a family-run establishment located on Galle Road in Hikkaduwa, just a short walk from the beach. The location is convenient—close to shops and restaurants.
I loved the motel's design. I was surprised when the owner told me he built it himself!
The room was clean and spacious, with modern amenities, a huge balcony, a nice bathroom, and a terrace overlooking the railway and the jungle. I slept really peacefully there. Even the sound of the train passing by was soothing.

The family running the inn is incredibly kind and helpful.

Tamara Hotel is really beautiful place to stay and rest. The owners were very hospitable and friendly! The hotel was short walk from the best beach of Hikkaduwa. The train line passes right past but this did not bother us at all. The breakfasts are filling and tasty and the whole place is so clean and tidy. We like it very much!

Clean, close to the main beach and nice

This was our first hotel on our first trip to Sri Lanka, and it left a very warm impression. A modest small room for two, a tiny window behind bars and strange bed linen were not its strong point, but we found this place very atmospheric and cozy, with delicious breakfasts and everything we need, close to the beach, but at the same time surrounded by the jungle. On the third floor there is a large veranda and lines for drying clothes, on the first floor there is a shower to rinse off after the sea. The room had a safe, refrigerator, hairdryer and kettle. When it rained, the hosts thoughtfully provided us with umbrellas. A five minute walk away is a beautiful beach with turtles. Shops, cafes and restaurants are also nearby, especially Red Lobster. One of the inconveniences may be the railway running under the walls of the hotel, and the walls shake at night and several times a day from passing trains. But for a few days it seemed even romantic to us. We would return to this hotel again.

The place is more then great. We took the suit for 5000 rupi. The room is huge to large balconis, hot water, clean. And a special bathroom. The place is lovated next to mini markets and restaurants. And just across the Street from the ocean and turtle area. Excellent choice. P. S next to train railways so at 4 am we had a wake up call, but went back to sleep(:

A perfect small hotel managed by a family really interested in having a hotel and guest to their place. Everything was excellent. They also arranged our excursions and much more things.. :)
