Although this hotel is a bit old, the environment is first-class and very comfortable!

The place is in a great position and you can swim with turtles every evening off the beach. Pool and grounds are good. The rooms are fine as well. The hotel is a bit tired/ run down on outside and buffet food is a bit average. Hikkaduwa and this hotel has large amount of Russian tourists.

On the way from Mangrove to Hikkaduwa, we encountered another downpour [facepalm]... Oh well, no chance to see the sea turtles again [sweat]. We just headed straight to the hotel and hunkered down. I'm not sure if it was because we were close to the sea or due to the heavy rain, but the hotel room was incredibly damp. Even with a dehumidifier running, it didn't make much of a difference...

We had a wonderful stay at Royal Beach Hotel. It is a beautiful Hotel in an amazing location right on the beach. The hotel is very clean and the staff go out of their way to make your stay perfect. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are very comfortable with good beds and AC. The food is very good with good size meals. We came here tired from our travels and left feeling refreshed and well rested...

We had a really nice stay at Royal Beach Hotel, Hikkaduwa. The location is great—right by the beach—with lovely views and easy access to the sea. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, making it a relaxing place to unwind. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay and made us feel welcome. Overall, a pleasant and comfortable stay in a beautiful location.

the hotel is clean - everyone is very nice - we recommend it - we spent 4 days there. The views are amazing right on the beach - you can admire the surfers - have breakfast in a beautiful setting - we'll be back. In the evening, you can listen to music or go shopping.

Had a great stay here, beautiful at the beach. All the people are very nice here. Rushini helped us and she is very sweet. Airco in the room was working and there was hot water available!
