Although this hotel is a bit old, the environment is first-class and very comfortable!

The place is in a great position and you can swim with turtles every evening off the beach. Pool and grounds are good. The rooms are fine as well. The hotel is a bit tired/ run down on outside and buffet food is a bit average. Hikkaduwa and this hotel has large amount of Russian tourists.

On the way from Mangrove to Hikkaduwa, we encountered another downpour [facepalm]... Oh well, no chance to see the sea turtles again [sweat]. We just headed straight to the hotel and hunkered down. I'm not sure if it was because we were close to the sea or due to the heavy rain, but the hotel room was incredibly damp. Even with a dehumidifier running, it didn't make much of a difference...

Room was large and comfortable with great view. We had room 106, chosen for bed softness. They were all different so if this matters to you ask to see a view rooms and check beds. The staff were the best, very attentive, just lovely.

Just ok. Little expensive. The room we had (106) had two single beds placed next to each other to make a double bed. They kept seperating. We checked out after our first night. Location is not bad. The management seems to consist of two gentlemen. One is extremely friendly and polite while the other makes every task seem mountainous. Well looked after hotel with good amenities. Great swimming pool, clean rooms, air-con, good showers and good breakfast. Conveniently located near the main street of Hikkaduwa and Hikkaduwa Railway Station but in a quiet location.

Very pleased with this hotel, great pool, good room service and only 5 minutes away from the beach. The laundry service is slightly pricey and there is not a big selection of food. All rooms have air con and fans.

The hotel overall is nice, the pools in the garden are great and the reception & security are extremely kind. However, a bunch of mosquitoes with no incense or anything around the garden, cold showers, no shower gel or shampoo… WiFi also didn’t work 90% of the time Not the best value for money overall despite having amazing potential

We booked to stay here last minute and wow we were glad we did. Firstly the room was spacious, clean, and had good facilities. Staff were amazingly hospitable and hung out our laundry for us when we arrived with it wet and brought us cold juice and water. The security guard on the gate walked us to our taxi with an umbrella to keep us dry-thank you sir!

We booked a room here very last minute and we are so happy we did! The staff were amazing and so friendly, our room was incredible for a “budget” room, and the outdoor area is lovely. Two pools! Also not far from the beach and grocery shops. Highly recommend

We loved our stay at Arcadia resort! The ourdoor area was amazing, with not only one, but two pools, a lot of plants and ideal for relaxing. The room was clean and the bed comfy. The owner and staff were lovely. The location was a bit outside of the crowded centre of Hikkaduwa, which we liked, as it’s more quiet, but only 10 Minutes to walk.

The location is close (a 7-minute walk) to the train station and bus station. It's a 20-minute walk to Turtle Beach and a 10-minute walk to regular beach. For a hassle-free check-in, I recommend bringing your English-language reservation voucher. The staff is pleasant. A dedicated person guards the gate. The welcome at Arcadia was very warm, which continued throughout my stay. The hotel was well presented and clean. Garden and pool provided a great space to unwind and relax. Some minor issues with ants, just need to be very careful with food and open doors/windows. Excellent value for money, I would recommend a stay here for the budget conscious.
