Surf is literally a step away + Clean, happy rooms + Great Coffee + Awesome Staff = 🤙🏽. Perfect stop after arriving in Colombo

Superb staff, so friendly and welcoming. The owner makes sure you are taken care of. Everything was just perfect! If you want to treat yourself, upgrade to king room; huge room with high ceiling, and most of all - balcony with a view straight to the sea. The other rooms seemed also very nice, you can always go to their beach cafe to sit and stand the ocean.

We had such a pleasant welcoming with all the staff being extremely friendly. High level of hospitality and making you feel right at home. Surfboard rental easily accesible and inexpensive. Literally on the beach with easy beach access. Traveled a few spots in srilanka and handsdown Hikkaduwa the best spot for surf. We had the top cabin and it was extremely beautiful with a extraordinary view of the ocean. Good walking distance from most tourist attraction. Awesome food to accompany this lush view. ON THE DOWNSIDE -No blankets on beds , only sheets. Found it challenging to balance tempreture between ac as it blows directly onto sleeping place . -Left my wallet on the dining table downstairs next to the surfshop and café and altought i got it back from the surfshop manager it was missing $100

We didn't stay here but we rented surf boards from the surf shop and hung out after surfing. It's a really nice, friendly place with a great vibe! You can order food from Why Not restaurant right next door. Very family friendly (we visited with our 10 month old baby). Hikkaduwa isn't the easiest place for beginners to learn (Weligama is the recommended spot) but it's still good fun to get in the water. There is a beginner wave, intermediate wave and advanced wave all basically right in front of the hotel.

Seeing that this place has 3.8 on google as we speak is crazy!
The price to Value is incredible! Our Room had a view to die for and the owners are so lovely and accommodating, and surfboard rental is 300 an hour or 1000 for the whole day! Imagine getting up to the sound of waves, going downstairs, picking a board up from the shop and within 2 more steps you’re on the beach ready to go, going surfing has never been this easy.
We loved the place and vibe so much we changed our trip to be able to go back and stay there for another 4 nights!

Our apartment had spacious rooms with a balcony overlooking the sea. Very cozy. The downside to all of this is the cleanliness of the rooms. The sheets and towels didn't really smell as they should have and the anti-mosquito nets over the beds had some dead insects on the top. If these issues get fixed then it would have been an easy 5 star rating.
We were in a group of 3 but the third towel and any kind of soap was absent.
Also the staff was super friendly and helpful. Cannot forget about that aspect aswell.

By far, the best surf shop for surfboard rentals and one of the best sunset view in Hikkaduwa!

Horrible hosts, rude, unhospitable, unfriendly and mainly, racists. They will also ask u to pay by cash because they want to avoid tax. Please avoid this place.

After reading some of the reviews of this place I was very excited about trying the Sushi here, however, it was a big let down. The menu is very limited and although the fish was fresh and appetizing the Sushi was boring and not very tasty. In addition it was extremely expensive compared to other restaurants in the area. Sad to say I get better Sushi from the cheep takeaway where I live. Other than that the place was quiet and clean and the staff was polite and nice, but if you want good Sushi this is not the place.
