Arcadia Resort - Hikkaduwa in Hikkaduwa

We booked to stay here last minute and wow we were glad we did. Firstly the room was spacious, clean, and had good facilities.
Staff were amazingly hospitable and hung out our laundry for us when we arrived with it wet and brought us cold juice and water.
The security guard on the gate walked us to our taxi with an umbrella to keep us dry-thank you sir!

We booked a room here very last minute and we are so happy we did! The staff were amazing and so friendly, our room was incredible for a “budget” room, and the outdoor area is lovely. Two pools! Also not far from the beach and grocery shops. Highly recommend

We loved our stay at Arcadia resort! The ourdoor area was amazing, with not only one, but two pools, a lot of plants and ideal for relaxing. The room was clean and the bed comfy. The owner and staff were lovely.
The location was a bit outside of the crowded centre of Hikkaduwa, which we liked, as it’s more quiet, but only 10 Minutes to walk.

The location is close (a 7-minute walk) to the train station and bus station. It's a 20-minute walk to Turtle Beach and a 10-minute walk to regular beach. For a hassle-free check-in, I recommend bringing your English-language reservation voucher. The staff is pleasant. A dedicated person guards the gate. The resort consists of several buildings; I stayed in The Pearl of Arcadia. My room is a decent size. There's no TV, but there is a ceiling fan and air conditioning. My bathroom had two showers—one cold, one with adjustable temperature control. Be careful with the glass shelf on the wall in the bathroom opposite the shower. If you're inattentive or have poor vision, you could hit your head on it. Room cleaning is available upon request (the staff actually asked if it needed cleaning). Apart from a bar of soap, the bathroom is stocked with shampoo, etc., including toilet paper (which was provided upon request). The room was sorely lacking a table; everything had to be spread out on a chair and a bag. The hotel manager tried to solve the problem, for example, by reconnecting the Wi-Fi, which was disconnected during a thunderstorm (it rained for several hours almost every day in November). On the floor there's a kitchenette with a table, microwave, toaster, kettle, and refrigerator. The hotel grounds are pleasantly tree-lined. At the fish market located nearby, the prices are for the preparation of your purchases, not for the food itself.
If you're not picky, the resort is a very good place to stay.

The welcome at Arcadia was very warm, which continued throughout my stay. The hotel was well presented and clean. Garden and pool provided a great space to unwind and relax. Some minor issues with ants, just need to be very careful with food and open doors/windows. Excellent value for money, I would recommend a stay here for the budget conscious.

The best villa in all of Sri Lanka!!! We stayed for a couple of nights, but extended it to 5. How wonderful it is here, quiet, swimming pools, animals (you feel like you're at a dacha). There is a private kitchen (for an extra fee, though). Special thanks to the staff! May your business prosper!

Excellent responsive staff, from transfer to currency exchange, you can contact them with everything.

Almost every room has a table with wooden chairs, you can have breakfast with a beautiful view of the palm trees and the pool.

Excellent mini-hotel. Comfortable rooms, new swimming pools, refrigerator, hairdryer in the room. There are three kitchens on the territory, there is a microwave, refrigerators. To the beach and shops 7 minutes walk, to the turtles 10-15 minutes walk, by tuk-tuk 5 minutes to the cafe red lobster and turtles. We will definitely come back and to this hotel in particular!

What a prefect place to spend a couple of day in Hikkaduwa. The owner Anita has opened her home to you to relax and enjoy. Her staff were fantastic, in particular Ravi who invited us to a local concert held in honour of the Sri Lankan Armed Forces. Thank you
