The hotel is located in the center of Hikkaduwa on the South West coast of Sri Lanka, directly on the shores of the Indian ocean. The cozy hotel is distinguished by qualitative service, friendly atmosphere; there are all conditions for family rest with children.

Location: 135 km from the airport of Colombo, in the Hikkaduwa area. Transfer from the airport for about 3 hours. 30 min.

Consists of one 3-storey building.
The hotel has 81 rooms (all with ocean views).
Beach: private sandy beach on-site public beach in 20 m from the hotel, the first coastal line. Umbrellas, sunbeds, mattresses and towels on site, free of charge.

Pros : amazing location to the beach Cons: first time ever I wished that my holiday would end soon. Very very bad hotel. Bathroom stinks, beds shaky, poorly maintained deck areas, corrosion everywhere. Little roaches visits bathroom at nights. Fan is noisy. Bed is clean and food is average. Nothing else is good about the hotel. Totally not worth the money.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights. Breakfasts were okay. The two pools were nice and clean. There's no beach access. You have to go either left or right from the hotel. The rooms are pretty tired. We were put in a room where the safe didn't work and the lamps weren't working. They replaced the lamps and gave us keys for the safe; otherwise, we wouldn't have been able to open it. We ended up at some kind of party rehearsal. It was pretty funny. I've attached a photo. There's a pizzeria across the street. We ordered pizza and pasta there. Quite tasty. I recommend staying here, but only for a short period.

Staff is quite friendly and did what they can, but I was surprised at how old the hotel felt because it says its 4 stars. The room seemed pretty old, pictures look better online. Hotel was empty, not a lot of visited but it’s also off season. Staff is quite helpful though, but the hotel it’s as high quality as in the photos, seems like it needs to maintenance. We also didn’t swim cause we couldn’t smell chlorine in the water so we were afraid of bacteria.

I stayed at this hotel recently and have mixed feelings. The room was spacious and offered spectacular sea views, which was a big plus. I also enjoyed the two pools, where the water was in perfect condition. The nearby beach, although small, was very nice to walk around.
The hotel is well located, with several restaurants within walking distance for dinner in the evening, which is convenient. However, I think there are areas that need more attention.
Although they have remodeled the hotel a few years ago, some details require additional care.
As for breakfast, I would like to see them improve the variety. The Western option would be ideal, as not all of us enjoy curry in the mornings.
One curious detail is that although there are plenty of sunbeds available for guests and a sign prohibiting reserving them with towels or books, it seems that many get up early to secure a sunbed. This can be a bit frustrating if you don't arrive on time after breakfast.
Overall, my experience was good, but there are aspects that could be improved to make it great."

Stayed at Coral Sands Hotel for 10 nights in July 2024.
Excellent location, next to the hotel there is everything you need: beach, cafes, souvenir shops.
The staff was responsive and promptly resolved any issue I had.
The buffet and restaurant are excellent! The food is very tasty and varied.
The room is comfortable with working air conditioning, the sea view is stunning.
Overall, I was pleased with my stay and recommend it to everyone!

Good location - 5 minutes walk from the beach - and really kind and warm service.
This was our first hotel on our first trip to Sri Lanka, and it left a very warm impression. A modest small room for two, a tiny window behind bars and strange bed linen were not its strong point, but we found this place very atmospheric and cozy, with delicious breakfasts and everything we need, close to the beach, but at the same time surrounded by the jungle. On the third floor there is a large veranda and lines for drying clothes, on the first floor there is a shower to rinse off after the sea. The room had a safe, refrigerator, hairdryer and kettle. When it rained, the hosts thoughtfully provided us with umbrellas.
A five minute walk away is a beautiful beach with turtles. Shops, cafes and restaurants are also nearby, especially Red Lobster.
One of the inconveniences may be the railway running under the walls of the hotel, and the walls shake at night and several times a day from passing trains. But for a few days it seemed even romantic to us.
We would return to this hotel again.

The perfect accommodation for a relaxing stay in Hikkaduwa!
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is close to the beautiful beach and centrally located. Restaurants, bars and supermarkets are in the immediate vicinity.

We had a very large family room on the top floor. It was cool and spacious with very comfy beds, a safe for valuables, kettle cups, glasses and cutlery. Very useful!
It had a large and very effective fan as well as excellent aircon.
Everything was spotlessly clean.
The bathroom was amazing with hot and cold showers, great lighting and beautiful plants!
we had a private balcony with a sea view on the oneside and a shared balcony overlooking the railway tracks on the other. There were lots of fireflies!
the trains to go right past, and are noisy, briefly, but they were no problem to us! we enjoyed watching them!
All the shared areas were covered in plants and beautifully maintained.

Nice room and good location hotel. The room was clean enough but not perfect. The window overlooked a shared balcony, so for privacy, it had to be kept curtained most of the time. But there is a refrigerator.
There is a train track right next to the hotel and the train can be heard loud enough several times a day.
The hotel has an area with a beach shower, which was great and allowed you not to carry sand from the beach to your room. The breakfasts were good, but not very filling. You could choose what kind of breakfast you will cook the next morning from several options. The hotel also provides clean bottled water for a fee.

We had a fantastic stay here. The location is excellent, it's across the street from the beach but far enough from the main road that it's nice and quiet. The breakfast was really good too. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Also the manager is really nice and can arrange anything from tours to taxis. Overall we had a great stay.
