Peacock Villa in Mirissa

Starting from a serene quiet village setting to modern amenities and the most attentive staff made the Peacock Villa truly a gem in paradise. Cleanliness, delicious home style meals, and genuine hospitality made this place truly remarkable. Our little one enjoyed mini pool table and also played with the little turtle. The manager Charindu and his father Gamini made us feel so welcoming and they were so attentive throughout our stay. Pool was very clean and they take strict measures to keep it clean for all guests. The villa’s bathroom was also extra clean which is hard to find in Sri Lankan B&Bs. In case you have your own vehicle, parking is also ample at this place. Charindu also told us about all local places to visit and explore. This place has it all, sincere southern hospitality in a tropical setting. We will certainly come back and tell everyone visiting Mirissa to book this place without hesitation. Thank you for a wonderful memorable stay.

This place is awesome! We stayed 3 nights with 2 kids. The rooms are big and super clean. Also nice big bathroom. The pool is refreshing and the breakfast is amazing! Every day multiple choices of freshly made types of breakfast from Sri Lankan dishes to English breakfast with pancakes or waffles. Very good! Good coffee!
And all in walking distance from the Main Street with all restaurants and shops.

One or our favourite accommodations from our Sri Lanka trip!! First and foremost big kuddos to the manager, he’s so kind, helpful and friendly. From the instant we entered and were received with an iced coffee welcome drink we felt right at home. Our room was spacious and very well maintained/clean. The property has a serene vibe to it, with a nice pool area. It’s around a 10 minute walk from the busy main road, so if you like a more quiet area this is perfect. Recommended!!

It was our first time visiting Sri Lanka and Mirissa in particular. By chance - and it turned out to be a lucky one - we found this place online while looking for locations in Sri Lanka to stay. And we made the decision to go to Mirissa based on this villa that we found.
From the start, Charindu was very responsive and accommodating. We got a good rate, great rooms and a warm welcome. Though we arrived from the airport sometime after 1am, Charindu and his staff were there to great us.
There were four of us (2 adults and 2 children) , we stayed at the villa for 11 nights and we enjoyed every moment. Good breakfast, lovely rooms with clean showers, comfortable beds, spacious balconies, clean swimming pool, lush greenery, everything was amazing. Villa and the garden are very well maintained and looked after. There was always hot water to take a shower, laundry room where villa staff would do your laundry and return it to you fresh and ironed. Shops, restaurants and the beach are just within short 10 minutes walk. Whatever question we had, Charindu had an answer.
It was so exciting to see monkeys visiting us every other day and peacocks walking around freely, lizards crossing the roads, fireflies at night! The owner has a lovely dog that sometimes go out for walk and you can pet him.
Honestly, if you are ever in Mirissa and your budget allows, do not look any further, stay at Peacock Villa. You won't regret it.

Stayed 2 nights here and it was brilliant. Rooms were great, AC worked really well and kept it nice and cold. Nice little pool to cool off in. Has a water purifier to fill up your water bottle which is a big plus. Breakfast was amazing, very tasty. Short 10 minute walk to Mirissa beach but away from the main road so it’s nice and quiet. Would recommend.

Lovely place away from the Main Street, but only less than 10 minutes walk to the beach via main road or 5 minutes via the footpath shortcut. Nice view and quiet. Staff are extremely nice and helpful, waited for the tuktuk at the entrance early in the morning for the pickup for whale watching, and drove us to the bus stop to catch our bus to Galle.

A lovely little b&b away from the hustle of the main road. Brand new very well maintained rooms. Large and well furnished, with large clean modern bathrooms. No restaurant on the premises though.

Great location, very friendly staff. Quiet enough to sleep peacefully away from the honking traffic along the beach yet easily accessible through a footpath that allows you to see various animals along the lagoon on your way to the shore. AC cold, showers hot, WiFi fast . No detail overlooked. Highly recommended.

The room was huge with a big comfy bed. Nice to have aircon and 2 fans. Large balcony overlooking a small lagoon, we could see a peacock most mornings. Bathroom big enough with a great shower with hot water and good pressure. Large clean towels and soft bed linen, with plenty of pillows. Staff super friendly and helpful. Very quiet location but so close to the beach. Breakfast was very bland and not worth what it costs! Recommend going out, lots of cheap places nearby.
