This is a very good value hotel with proper management, clean interiors, and a friendly front desk. The restaurant downstairs is okay, and the manager is also very nice, but the breakfast options are limited. Downstairs, there's a canal with a constant flow of foreign tourists. The exotic scenery outside the window is quite lively.

We ended our Sri Lanka family holiday in this hotel. And we’re not disappointed. We had the family suites: you need to book this one but watch out. This floor is extremely slippery. Beautiful hotel with a stunning tropical garden and pool, kind staff, and nice breakfast and dinner with fresh food. Some mosquitos in the room that could be handled better (mosquito net is present). The space in the room could also be arranged differently to give better access to the desk and chair. Overall, good quality for the price.

This place is awesome! We are staying a couple of nights with two kids (5 and 6 years old) we are treated like royalty. We arrived to early to check-in. But since we had a long flight they prepared our room early while we had a great breakfast. The staff is super friendly and great with kids.

I only stayed here for my last night before flying home. The hotel is beautifully decorated, has everything you need. The staff are really nice, welcoming and helpful. I had to fly in the evening but was still allowed to stay in my room after check out time and use the facilities. The food is incredibly good and tasty. I can highly recommend this hotel.

Most perfect place to stay in Negombo - great location with few minutes walk to the beach and best best bars and restaurants. The only reason I’m there because every thing is exclusive and excellent

We arrived at 2am after a late night flight and left at 9:30am so were not there long enough to judge properly. Staff very attentive, kind and accommodating for late check in and breakfast. Very clean and tidy with basic amenities - good value. It was good for us to catch a nights sleep before leaving early the next day.

Perfect stay with family, quite atmosphere but it's quite warm outside. Comfortable rooms with fans and A/C. Parking space for vehicles is available. Lovely food. For entertainment there is a carrom board. Few more room improvements as well as serving food is needed.

We just stayed here one night prior to an early morning departure from Colombo. Everything was fine for a good nights sleep and early start. We just had time to visit the nearby fishermen’s working beach which was interesting to see. We would stay here again if we need another night near the airport.

The guys at the Morning Star are so kind, and took care of our every need. The cooling system in the room was amazing. We slept like a dream. The place is really peaceful, truely a little slice of heaven away from the hussle and bustle of the city. Would highly recommend them!

Third visit here over 10 years. As good as ever! Peaceful with the fantastic swimming pool. Massive bed, nice sitting out areas for each room, staff extremely polite and helpful. We were the last guests here in March 2020 when lockdown struck but vowed to return on our next SL trip.

A great place to stay right after landing. On the right, there are plenty of bars, cafes, and restaurants; on the left, shops, a post office, and a Dialog store selling SIM cards. Very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Taxis with well-informed drivers are available. Highly recommended.

Owner was very nice. Beds have a mosquito net, although we did need to use it at all. The owner gave us a power extension cord since we just arrived from abroad and didn't have any adaptors. The town is very clean and nice. There was even a separate kitchen.

I really enjoyed my stay here, the owner was incredibly accommodating and friendly. The rooms were incredibly spacious as they are fully furnished with sofas, desks, chairs, and some full kitchens. The property itself is a very large home that fits close to 12 different rooms. Prices are reasonable and negotiable. My only complaint was the amount of mosquitos on the premises.

It is very clear place. I was little dissapointed because I asked for vegan and gluten free option. Ofcourse, I know it is demanding diet but I asked if I could get e.g. some rise. I got only fruit. What was okay, but comapring to other places where that was not a problem (I got lankan breakfast which is mainly v.-gf). I can only add that we were only guests so it wasn't busy time.

On one hand clean, on the other there was a mould on the ceiling in the room. The owner was not feeling really responsible when locking me from outside at night. Missed a train in result of this. Good WiFi though.
