Staff were pleasant and pool area wasn't bad but lack of sunbeds. Location was also very good but the room was very dated and shabby (decent shower) and we received no housekeeping in 4 days. We felt slightly insulted when checking out when the staff went to check the room given the condition of it!

We enjoyed a one month stay at St. Lachlan in a comfortable apartment overlooking the lovely pool. The hotel is located on a quiet street but only a short stroll away from shops, restaurants and the beach. The accommodation was ideal for our mainly self-catering stay with a large comfortable bed, a spacious bathroom with constant hot water and efficient air-conditioning. Beds are bery comfortable, the water in the pool is Perfect and the Staff is very nice. This place is very quiet and the best in Negombo for the price! Everything is near here, so you don't have to walk a lot. the suites have everything that you wilk need so don't worry about anything. I recommend this place if you're looking for a place Like this.

This was my second stay here. The staff is friendly and accommodating, the rooms functional and spacious – the only issue was that the refrigerator in my room wasn't cooling sufficiently, but this should have been fixed after I reported it. Comfortable beds, pleasant shower with good water pressure and warm water.

The hotel is magnificent. Clean and conveniently located. Due to the airline, we were unable to check in on time for our pre-paid reservation – the owner refused to change it, even though we were the only guests there. This is the only reason I'm lowering my rating.

Basic but good budget choice A solid, but bare bones place to stay in Negombo if you’re passing through. The room is spacious and clean, but just the basics. And the hotel is a short walk to the beach, on just on the main road, with a lot of restaurants close by. Not the place you’d want to spend a week, but if you need a no-frills place close to the airport, this does the job.

Stayed in this hotel upon arrival in Sri Lanka. Excellent hotel, ticked all the boxes for a place to stay upon arrival; location, area amenities, friendly, clean and secure. Based on my experience, highly recommended with easy access to the sites in the area.

Excellent budget hotel. The room is clean, the reception staff is friendly. Checked in quickly. I can't say anything about the pool, we didn't visit it. The air conditioner works well. There is shampoo and shower gel, water. The bed is not bad, big, a little soft, but it was comfortable to sleep. The only thing is that the windows are not transparent for some reason

Always enjoy their food. I have been to this place numerous times. No complaints on food at all. Exceptional But this time service and customer care below average. Staff don't pay much attention to customers. We had to call them waving hands several times. Not a good manner in a restaurant like Prego. It was not the same before.

I think this is one of those places you could just book without a hesitation. They don't overcharge and they have reasonably well made hotel rooms and resting area.

We were very impressed with the Ayubowan guesthouse. The property was immaculate, well located and had a beautiful garden. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful, we arrived late in the evening and they were there to greet us and show us to our rooms. Met really wonderful travelers here! The caretaker of the hostel is incredibly kind. The only issue was that we lost electricity for a few hours. Many that I met were using this hostel as their starting and ending point around the island. Both nights I stayed, others met and decided to travel together. It's that kind of community. We had higher expectations based on the beautiful photos on TripAdvisor and ***********. Instead, we found a musty room where the wooden furnishings clearly couldn't cope with the humidity. The air conditioning made it somewhat bearable. The bathroom would have been nice if it weren't for the mold on the tiles and the stains on the toilet seat that wouldn't come off. We stayed at that hotel for 2 nights, and was pretty good. The air conditioner is working very well, is close to the town and beach. Breakfast was okey, not in European standards. We stayed at the Bee Nest by chance when another guest house had been overbooked. The owner picked us up from the original guest house, which was great! My husband and I stayed here for two nights at the end of our trip to Sri Lanka. The owners of the B&B were kind and helpful, including assisting us in getting transport to a testing center ahead of our flight. We had lunch at the restaurant and we really enjoyed it! Sidath was very kind, always asking if we wanted something else. My jumbo shrimps were delicious! The pool seemed calm but unfortunately we didn't have our bathing suits. Also wr loved that the place was calm and quiet, away from the noisy beach!

Pretty good place to eat. The food is good, didn't take long to wait for the food. The personnel is nice. The portions are big and tasty. You can eat outside as well as inside in the building. You can pay by cash or credit card. There is a big variety of food and drinks to pick. There is always a free table so you'll surely find where to sit.

Its about 20 minutes to the airport and 3 Km to negambo town and the beach. The prices are really low. Rooms are huge and comfortable beds. What else you can ask for.

Loved our stay here. We stay at Negombo Village our first night and also our last night in Sri Lanka. The owner kept our extra luggage safely for us for 2 weeks while we toured through the country. The property is absolutely beautiful and they'll be installing a pool over the next couple of months. We also made use of their airport pickup and drop off services.

This place absolutely worth the money. Comfortable rooms with beautiful view of the garden. You would need to tuk tuk ride from this place to the center but it worth it cuz its located in the middle of a beautiful village like neighborhood. The host is really nice and helpful plus the breakfast was really nice.

The hotel is a small village consisting of different types of houses set in spacious gardens. A large swimming pool forms the centerpiece. Everything is available, from small, inexpensive double rooms to family rooms and bungalows. We stayed in a single bungalow with a large bedroom and a huge living room with a kitchenette. Great, clean and aesthetically beautiful accommodation with super friendly and service-oriented staff and on top of that a manager, Mr. Tharanga Suraweera, who not only reopened the pool for our kids despite our very late arrival, but also stepped in at very short notice to take us to the airport when we had problems with Uber. This hotel is great, the room was spotless and the air con was very effective. The swimming pool was great, especially considering the beach is nearby but not very swimmable. To the left of the hotel there are lots of fantastic restaurants. Would definitely recommend starting your holiday here!
