We spent one night at this hotel during our trip in Sri Lanka , we just went there directly from the airport, was not a long drive. We had a lovely room on the facing the beach The bathroom was big and had a tub and shower. The bathroom amenities were also good. The room was huge but the AC was a little cold and it was hard to adjust. breakfast was ok had a few different things but not a huge range. Didn't use the pool looked a little small.

Villa Araliya is a beautiful small complex of rooms and suites straight off the pages of a style magazine. The food dishes are the best. It's a very calm place where you could enjoy the lagoon view and just a couple of steps to the beach.

Very interesting place. I've been to PAN many times with my family and friends over the years & it has never disappointed me. I suggest you go there around 7.00-7.30 PM as the place starts bustling with people after 8.00pm

Really lovely place to stay, clean, comfortable, staff were really helpful and also let us check in early and arranged a reasonably priced airport transfer. The pool and garden area are really peaceful and nice. It’s conveniently located for the beach and all the local restaurants and bars.

The environment inside is super good, and the network is average and usable. It is a long walk from the beach, the alleys are very small, and there are many dogs. Takeaways are very expensive, others are okay.

The hotel has a lot of mosquitoes, but that's unavoidable given the climate. The room is super big and the staff are very welcoming. There is no elevator, so I had to rely on the guy to carry me up. It's a good choice for a one-night stay.

There is a bar upstairs, which is too noisy and the soundproofing is poor.

Parking service was convenient, but I waited for an hour to pick up the car. After I gave a tip, I didn't send it to my room. I thought my luggage was lost, so I went to the lobby in a hurry to find the staff and dragged it back to my room. The overall environment of the hotel room was excellent.

The charges are not clear. In addition to the $14.99 deduction for the child who accidentally watched the movie for a few minutes, they also deducted an extra $30 from me. I don't know what the deduction was for.

A lovely stay! A really nice hotel about fifty yards from Negombo beach. It is in a little alley off the main road and is well situated and clean. The staff were lovely also. A tuk tuk will take you to the main sites in a few mins for about 500 rupees. The locals are really lovely - almost everyone will stop to speak to you or to say good morning. A really nice start to a month in Sri Lanka!

Perfect stay with family, quite atmosphere but it's quite warm outside. Comfortable rooms with fans and A/C. Parking space for vehicles is available. Lovely food. For entertainment there is a carrom board. Few more room improvements as well as serving food is needed.

We just stayed here one night prior to an early morning departure from Colombo. Everything was fine for a good nights sleep and early start. We just had time to visit the nearby fishermen’s working beach which was interesting to see. We would stay here again if we need another night near the airport.

The guys at the Morning Star are so kind, and took care of our every need. The cooling system in the room was amazing. We slept like a dream. The place is really peaceful, truely a little slice of heaven away from the hussle and bustle of the city. Would highly recommend them!

Third visit here over 10 years. As good as ever! Peaceful with the fantastic swimming pool. Massive bed, nice sitting out areas for each room, staff extremely polite and helpful. We were the last guests here in March 2020 when lockdown struck but vowed to return on our next SL trip.

The staff was really helpful, specially Sam who attended every need. It was a relaxed and calm stay. Rooms was clean and hygienic. Beds could have more comfortable but it was okay. Food was good and they provide kids meal as well.Highly recommend.

Rani and her family welcomed me with open arms, providing clean and comfortable accommodation in a great location of Negombo. Nothing was too much trouble, Rani's hospitality made this place special. It's worth paying the extra US$4 for an AC room.

I had 20 hours transit in Colombo airport, so I immediately take this hotel which is cheap and near the airport. In that case, it’s good. I should say, as budget traveler, it’s a good option. You need 2 mins walk from hotel to beach side. House owners was friendly but service average.

The hotel is ok, but our triple room looked at the road and it id loud. The beach in Negombo is dirty, water is unclear, so don’t think about last swim, but you cab surely buy last minute souvenirs just on the hotel’s street.

The hotel is still under construction, so the rooms are still relatively new and bigger than rooms at Topaz. Beach is only visisble thru 2 of the top floor rooms, which are still under construction. All in all a great room for very economical price, better than most on that strip.

This is a budget hotel which offers relatively good value for money. The room was clean and spacious, if sparse, and both the sheets and bathroom were also clean. The air-conditioning worked well. There were a few mosquitoes which had managed to find their way into the room but an active mosquito repellent device was provided that worked to keep them away.

The room at Avenra Hotel was very comfortable and well maintained. It was clean, spacious, and nicely arranged, with a cozy bed and a pleasant ambiance. Housekeeping was excellent, and all the basic facilities were provided. We had a relaxing stay and felt very comfortable throughout. Definitely a good choice for a pleasant and peaceful stay.

Beautiful hotel with extra spacious rooms. Rooms have all modern facilities and perfect price for a nice stay in Negombo. An eye catching pool is also available for a dip and the beach is just a walk away. Staff is friendly and a few parking spaces are available in front and on the side of the hotel.

Loved this boutique hotel. They had a great pool and spacious rooms with all the room amenities . The staff was very friendly and provided swift service. They had great food too with good portions. The hotel is good. It is easily accessible from the airport and has a beach at back of the hotel. Their restaurant has some delicious food including some sea food. My stay here was good except for one thing. They did not provide soap, toothpaste and toothbrush. Wifi strength and speed is ok.

Look, this is a good hotel - especially considering that when I came here with my girlfriend we were in transit and the airline put us here for free. The rooms are big and air conditioned with cool tile floors and comfortable beds. These are all based around a courtyard which leads out onto two swimming pools and the beach. Food is a nice if unspectacular buffet.

Stayed there briefly as we arrived very late. But it was a good stay, staff was helpful, great room with an awesome view of the beach, and the beach is literally few steps from the hotel. Note: I am writing this review is after completing 15 days holiday in Sri Lanka; therefore, I have considered all pro and cons.

Great food! Really loved the place and its good for like a weekend getaway. Staff was very friendly. Room was average tbh and most of the supplies like tea bags and sugar were a bit old but it was clean and spacious. Once again the food was really amazing! Would definitely visit again if I'm around.

Hotel ideally located in Negombo, very close to the beach and of walking distance to the main tourist attractions (fish market, canal, fort, churches, ...). The staff is very friendly and make you feel like home, serving you a fresh juice upon arrival. The pool area is lovely, and allows for a morning dip before enjoying a nice breakfast. The included shuttle to the airport is a real plus!

Wonderful place! They picked us up at the airport at midnight(!) The room was very nice (hot water and air conditioning) and the included breakfast was delicious (they did substitute for fish to accommodate our diet requirements). The sheets looked a little dirty but they apologized and immediately brought clean ones.

We only stayed for a few hours to freshen up before our flight, but in that time we were given nothing but the best hospitality Sri Lanka has to offer. Very accommodating and friendly. Cute rooms.
