Turtle Bay in Tangalle

We stayed at Turtle Bay from January 2nd for 3 nights and 4 days, and it was truly superb! From the moment we arrived, the warm and attentive service made us feel right at home. The peaceful beachfront location with stunning ocean views created the perfect setting for relaxation. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and we enjoyed every meal — delicious food with great variety. The tranquil atmosphere, beautiful scenery, and friendly staff made our family holiday unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a serene and memorable getaway! 🌴🌊

Absolutely one of the best hotel experiences in Sri Lanka. The location by the beach is stunning, with a spotless main pool, a children’s pool, and a playground shaded by palm trees. The sunsets are breathtaking. Service is excellent — the staff are friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring, making you feel truly looked after. The food is delicious throughout the day, from breakfast to dinner, and the cocktails are great. Rooms are bright, air‑conditioned, and equipped with a clean bathroom, fridge, and safe. The atmosphere is all about relaxation, and the on‑site massages are highly recommended. For nature lovers, ask the hotel manager to arrange a morning bird‑watching trip by rowing boat — it’s a magnificent experience through the nearby lake, mangroves, and river.

Fantastic place to stay, staff are very friendly and the meals are superb. Rooms are very nice and clean, we even saw turtles. We would stay again when visiting Sri Lanka. Breakfast was included and the chef made delicious meals to choose from. Well done for this excellent place

The hotel is really beautiful with a lot of attention to detail. Everybody was super friendly and helpful, rooms were really clean and spacious. The place is ideal for a romantic hideaway for a couple for 2 or 3 nights. If you are travelling alone, the place is very quiet and maybe a bit lonely. The whole area there is very quiet, only a handful of other hotels around. For the next town you need a TukTuk. But there are some tour organisors around and you can do a lot of day trips and the manager is really helpful in organizing it for you. They have a Spa with ayurvedic treatments and they offer Yoga classes. The restaurant there is ok but there are a few other restaurants in walking distance that offer more tasty local food. You just need to have a good excuse, they do like to let you go to have dinner somewhere else

We had the most relaxing stay in this beautiful hotel. The staff are the friendliest I have ever come across. They made our stay very special. Raji you are the best, so helpful. Nothing was too much for you. Thank you for looking after us so well. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable and clean. The food was excellent. It was a peaceful relaxing experience. We watched the sunset on this bay. The turtles swim right next to you in the sea. The sea bed is a little rocky. Just be aware. We had the best day on this beach, plenty of little restaurants to eat and drink too. Check more on my Instagram @lovestotravelclub

It's the kind of place where you immediately feel at home, yet pampered. The hotel is set it a coconut grove just off the beach with the crashing waves providing the back drop. Early morning and evening you can stroll along the 7km beech, an exceptional experience to have such a beautiful place to yourself. Wonderful staff, great rooms and excellent food. In the evenings you could opt to dine in the garden by the pool, very romantic. An early morning boat trip around the Kalametiya Bird Sanctuary is a must.
