I visited Ladja Beach resort in spring 2020 and I have to confirm what some people have written here. It is definitely true that you cannot swim in the ocean in front of the Ladja Beach resort due to the bad access to the ocean - it is wild and full of rocks and corrals. You have to travel somewhere else. Aditionally, the food in restaurant is also overpriced in comparison with other places we have visited in Sri Lanka. On the other hand, the resort is nice and clean and completely out of the beaten track. So, if you are looking just for relax and laying aroud the swimming pool and from time to time taking organised trip somewhere, it is a good place to choose. 👍🙂

Take your own food and water! Restaurant is the most expensive I’ve ever seen in Sri Lanka!
Place is in the middle of nowhere
Very bad access - 4km gravel road with many huge holes
Swimming is impossible - many stones and reef, danger place for swimming
Owner is rude and racist!!! He is making fun of locals..
DON’T go there, you can find much better place for less money..
