OGA REACH hotel in Tissamaharama

Mixed experience: Dedicated staff, but highly disorganized management and confusing pricing.
We booked a Deluxe Family Room for 3 adults for one night as a base for our morning safari in Yala. Unfortunately, the administration and organization left a lot to be desired, even though the on-the-ground staff tried their best.
Upon arrival, the receptionist was surprised to see us and claimed they had no record of our Booking.com reservation. We were asked to wait in the lounge while the manager sorted it out. They eventually provided our room, but when we went in, the washroom hadn't been cleaned. We flagged this immediately, and the staff were very apologetic and cleaned it right away.
Dinner was also a hassle. We arrived when the buffet was almost empty. The manager kindly arranged for food to be made for us, but it took about an hour of waiting in the dining area before we actually got to eat.
My biggest issue was the pricing at checkout. The receipt was also highly contradictory about whether taxes were included or excluded, leading to a very frustrating checkout experience where we felt overcharged.
Pros: The staff is polite, apologetic, and quick to fix mistakes when pointed out (like cleaning the bathroom).
Cons: Lost reservations, rooms not prepped for check-in, long waits for food, and confusing/inaccurate pricing.

Terrible Experience – Needs Serious Improvement

We booked 3 rooms at Oga Reach Hotel Yala and unfortunately, our overall experience was very disappointing. The rooms were not clean, and the air conditioning was not working properly. The dustbins hadn't been emptied, and the bathroom commodes were broken and unusable. It was clear that the hotel lacked proper maintenance and management.

There was no responsible person available to assist us. We booked on a Half Board basis, but when we requested dinner around 8:00 PM, we were told only an à la carte menu was available and it would take 2 hours to prepare. This was never communicated to us beforehand, which was extremely frustrating.

The swimming pool was also not clean, which added to our dissatisfaction. While the view from the property was decent, it alone is not a reason to stay here.

We strongly urge the management to take immediate steps to improve cleanliness, maintenance, and guest service. Until then, we would not recommend this hotel to others.

This hotel service is really bad . They don’t no how to welcoming guest. Room & bathrooms are dirty. I don’t how they treat foreigners. As a local guest we had bad experience. Not recommend for anybody . I hope management will concentrate about their guest more than like this
