We stayed here for a few days and it was perfect. The tables along the front overlook the sea, a great place to relax in the evenings. The staff are lovely and friendly. The room was comfortable and a clean with ac and a fan. Peaceful spot out of the main town and walking distance to the fort and other beaches. There is also a great local bar Mirandas on the next street over and several affordable hotel restaurants nearby. A wonderful stay and great for the budget traveller, very affordable.

Visited few months ago. Bed had bugs.
No wifi.
No drinking water provided.
No toiletries.
No towel.
No hotel log book entry.
Nothing.
Very shady.
Manager is very problematic.

The owner Mr. Ramanan greeted & welcomed us personally when we made a late check-in. We received clean rooms with towels and the bathrooms had adequate water pressure & hot water supply. The AC too was in good functioning order. My friend misplaced his room key during his jet skiing trip and the owner was very understanding and simply assisted us to access the room late in the evening. We felt terrible about the inconvenience we caused him.
It’s a great place to stay on the beach of Trincomalee.

The place was okay

But the service is very bad. The person who looks after the place is not friendly at all. He is very rude and not flexible at all.
Asked us to get into rooms at 11.00pm and not stay outside in a rude manner.
There were some dirty bedsheets with patches.

Only good thing is the place has a good view and has a less crowded beach

This accommodation suited our needs wonderfully - on the beach, secluded, but near town, and wonderful swimming. The snorkelling just up the beach is great and you can organise snorkelling equipment or boat trips next door. The owner kindly put a fridge in our room, and we could use some other facilities to self cater. We would have stayed even longer if there had been comfortable lounging furniture on the terrace.

Great place to stay in Trincomalee. Right next to the city center and the Dutch bay beach.
Comfortable rooms and good bathrooms. The lobby is also well appointed with ocean related paraphernalia which adds to the ocean vibe.
The hotel is right next to the crystal clear dutch bay beach where it's totally safe to have a bath. The beach is relatively clean given this is an actively used beach by fishing operations. you can see the famous Koneswaram temple and the swami rock from the hotel.
The owner is very friendly. Although there's no restaurant on site, there are plenty of places to have a meal in walking distance. Highly recommended place to stay

Location: very nice (quiet and directly at the beach)

Rooms: ok (basic but clean)

General: no wifi, no have to bring own tea etc

Staff: friendly staff, owner rather unfriendly (little bit greedy)

Overall: if you want to stay outside (swimming, exploring the city, …) and are just looking for a place to stay, it is definitely a very good option because of the central yet quiet location. If you are looking for a place where you can also just relax in the hotel for a day or two and hang around at the beach, I would not recommend it (in particular because the owner is not very friendly)
