Posthotel Rössli in Gstaad

I spent almost a month at Posthotel Rössli with my team, and it truly felt like home.

At the reception, Mara, Per, and Goska were always available and incredibly patient with our endless (and sometimes quite unusual!) requests. Their kindness and professionalism made every day easier.

The restaurant team was just as wonderful:
Collin, with his warmth and great sense of humor;
Laura, who brought an Italian touch and always made us laugh;
Catia, who welcomed us every morning at breakfast with a smile, already knowing our favorite orders;
and Victor, who took care of all our lunches with impeccable service.
Together, they created an exceptional and flawless team.

The rooms were always spotless and well kept, and the food was delicious—I ended up trying almost the entire menu!

I highly recommend stopping by, even just for dinner. You won’t regret it.

And being right on the Promenade, it was incredibly convenient to reach everything in Gstaad.

This restaurant is simply the best I’ve ever visited. The service is flawless, the food is thoughtfully crafted and wonderfully creative, and the wine list is outstanding. There’s absolutely nothing to fault.

We had an amazing stay here for 2 nights during the winter break. Room was spacious, restaurant was spot on with classic Swiss dish, and the people who works there were extremely helpful and friendly. Will definitely come back and stay here again!

Stayed there for 1 night with my family of 2 kids (4y & 9y). Overall service was very good: from check-in to lunch & dinner. Food was also excellent. On the to-be-improved side: a little understaffed on the restaurant side and our room (117) was right above the kitchen so until 22:30 it was rather noisy in our bedroom, but didn’t bother the bunker bed room were stayed our kids.

My husband and I recently spent a month long vacation in Switzerland. Posthotel Rössli was recommended by my family who stayed there previously. We stayed two nights in a Superior Double Room (#224). This room was sumptuous with high count linens, fluffy towels, large bathroom, separate toilet room, and two balcony doors. There was also a nice sitting area with two chairs, as well as a desk. The best part was all the paneling which was SO Swiss and cozy. Nadja and Conroy Widmer are continuing as great caretakers of this beautiful hotel, just as previous generations before them. Nadja - thanks for the hiking suggestion via Wispile. Conroy - was also great to meet you and talk about my parent’s visit in 1999 and that little escapade! ;0) The breakfast was delicious and the cappuccinos were flowing! We also had cheese fondue one evening and do not miss the plum pie! We will definitely return!

This hotel is full of charm, has a fantastic ambiance, wonderful chalet type rooms with all modern facilities, 2 wonderful restaurants and really friendly and courteous staff. It felt so good staying there and we will return on a regular basis - for sure !

This is a very nice Chalet/Hotel Located on the begin of the pedestrian area, its no problem to unload your car in front of the main entry and park behind and take a different entrance. The staff is very friendly, we have been travelling with 2 kids and we got an upgrade to a bigger room. The rooms are very warm, and the bathrooms have a good standard. It was quiet silent and we could not hear other guests. I would recommend for family ( there is no lift for buggy )

Gstaad, a village synonymous with the rich and the famous of the world, steeped in luxury and Swiss views to die for. It does not disappoint!! Nestled at one end of the famous promenade is this beautiful chalet Posthotel Roessli, said to be the oldest hotel in Gstaad. It lives upto it’s name and tradition by which the Swiss were once famous for. It feels like a fairy tale to be in this wooded cottage. The rooms are of a varying sizes typical of chalets, but very tastefully equipped. We stayed on the top floor(third), which my daughter absolutely fell in love with,as her bed was neatly tucked into a corner. The room was well sized and the bathroom felt so bright because of a natural skylight. The receptionist cum owner Nadia is one of the most wonderful people we have come across in Switzerland. She not only guided us on the various activities and happening around saanen, she advised us on the best food and sights in and around Gstaad. Thank you Nadia once again. The hotel has a lot of choice to lounge around on the ground floor, with some awesome old world charm in its restaurants. It’s a treat to be surrounded by tradition and Swiss hospitality, and not by standard, mundane commercial MBA type hotels. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who likes traditional Swiss hospitality and a home away from home.
