Wonderful stay, superb hotel, amazing staff, especially Regina, gorgeous room, fabulous breakfast. Would recommend.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The setting is glorious & there is excellent skiing, including cross country, in Pontresina. Our hotel room overlooked the nursery slopes. It was very well-equipped, had excellent coffee and was super comfortable. The ready packed bag with robes, slippers & towels for the hotels pools, including the blissful outdoor thermal pool overlooking the mountains, was especially welcome. A good breakfast. The hotel does not serve dinner, but the receptionist booked somewhere nearby & it was perfect. The staff at the hotel go over and above to make your stay comfortable. We were impressed. Glitzy St Moritz is a bus ride away — frequent service. We much preferred the atmosphere in Pontresina. We arrived in Pontresina by train — inter railing in Switzerland — and, though the walk to the hotel is only 20 minutes, this is uphill. *Reception told us they would have collected us from the station to help with our luggage if we had called ahead*. We were taken down the hill as part of the service when we left. Overall a very lovely and memorable stay.

I’ve stayed here 28 times since 2020 — that speaks for itself, doesn’t it? When you find the perfect place to stay, there’s no reason to look anywhere else. And Hotel Allegra truly is the perfect place for me. The hotel is modern, exceptionally well-maintained, and spotlessly clean. You can see the attention to detail everywhere. I also love that the hotel has direct access to Bellavita, which is a real bonus if you enjoy swimming or relaxing in the sauna. Breakfast is delicious, complemented by excellent coffee and teas. You can always count on a warm welcome, a smile, and a friendly chat at the reception — and beyond. Any issues, if they arise at all, are resolved instantly. Mrs. Amberger and her team make sure I have everything I need every single time — a true example of Swiss hospitality at its best. That’s why I’ve already booked my next stay — number 29! Hotel Allegra was the perfect space for our group to stay in Pontresina for a yoga retreat. Regina the manager made sure our group had everything they might need. The breakfast group was wonderful. We had a nice assortment of options. Breakfast was served until 11:00a.m. Regina helped us make dinner reservations on the nights when we were on our own. My husband is gluten free and that is not easy to find places to eat in Switzerland that have options. Regina found us two lovely restaurants. The hotel has amazing views. The most wonderful part is its connections to a spa. Taking the elevator to the basement, you find a large indoor pool, a kiddy area and then outside a swimming pool that is heated and is surrounded on all sides by mountains. It was perfect after a day of hiking. The hotel provides a bath robe and slippers to wear to and from the pool.

The staff were very helpful even a last minute ride to the train station.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel which provided a very calm and relaxed atmosphere. The hotel staff were always very helpful and attended to our every needs no matter how busy we were. Special praise goes to Regina whose recommendations for our daily outings were always well thought out. Everywhere we looked she was always there working hard to greet all the guests in the restaurant, front office and bar. The breakfast was also delicious and had a great variety each day. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Pros; Central location of the hotel with parkings behind the hotel. Spacious room, very good beds. We had a good night’s sleep every night. Housekeeping maids kept our room super clean. Freshly prepared breakfast buffet Not to forget the heated pool and spa which is connected through hotel’s basement Friendly staffs. Cons; None
