Views from the hotel area and the room were beautiful. Breakfast options were great and staff and service was very friendly. Hotel had a classic old-world “Belle Elwood” feel to it that seems common to the grand hotels of the area.

Wonderful Had to switch rooms, the room that was booked was not adequate but with an upgrade fee, we were able to stay in a much better room with an amazing view. This was our first visit to Pontresina and we chose the Saratz for its reputation, central location, indoor/outdoor pools, ease of access to train and bus transportation, nearby hiking trails. wonderful views to the Roseg glacier from our room, and the half board meal plan. We stayed as a family of 5 and really enjoyed our summer holiday in Pontresina. We had a wonderfully spacious suite, the food was excellent and the location and views are wonderful. We will definitely come back!

I stayed here with my husband and 2 kids (9 and 5). We absolutely loved our stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet and pizza restaurant were fantastic. The rooms were spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. Our kids loved playing games in the red library room while we had a coffee or drink. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

We stayed here with children and grandparents and had 3 renovated rooms in total. The staff was very friendly during our whole stay. The highlight was the 4 course dinner meal.

Hospitale staff, great breakfast, cosy rooms and easy access ski storage, conveniently located just 3 min walk from bus stop. My only improvement would be a second pillow in the room, maybe it was because I was in economy room , if you ask they would probably give you one anyway. Was not able to accomplish planned 100 ride due to fatigue. However the room was very pleasant and allowed for a great day of rest and recuperation. We made a HUGE mistake booking this hotel for four nights. Cancellation policy very strict (don’t even think about shortening your stay). We enjoyed our three nights here. The hotel is conveniently located in town, with a grocery right next door and the bus stop right around the corner. The staff were all very friendly and helpful with our questions. The room was very comfortable with a fun mural of the Alps on the wall above the bed. The continental breakfast had many breads, cheeses, and meats to choose from.

Lovely spot with good, simple food but not cheap.

To make it simple, don't take the horse coach there. Walk. There is enough cakes to sustain your energy levels to walk, or even run, the route multiple times on the same day. Deliscious cakes, friendly service.
