Hotel Schweizerhof Basel in Basel

The hotel was very clean and the staff were extremely helpful and kind. It was conveniently located to both walk around the city and take public transport with the free rail card the hotel provided. I would definitely stay there again.

I stayed here for the second time. Bc, Its very clean and tidy. People are nice and helpful. The location is perfect only 19 minute from airport by bus number 50. The bus is free bu Basel card. They dont have very rich breakfast but all the main foods are available. The good is fresh and breakfast hall also very clean.Thank you

The room was very clean, the only downside was that it could get a bit noisy when the tram passed by.

Stayed here twice, and both times were fantastic. It's only a 3-minute walk from the train station, the breakfast is good, and the service from the staff, especially the guy with the healing smile, was wonderful. The rooms are also spacious.

Basel was our final stop in Switzerland this year, a border city spanning only 24 square kilometers. Despite its border location, it's very developed and modern.

**Environment:**
Among hotels like Victoria, Mövenpick, Radisson, and Novotel, we chose this 3-star option. It's directly opposite the SBB train station, and the main bus terminal is just 100 meters from the lobby exit. Although it's a transport hub, the area is decent; there are a few homeless people around, but its convenience makes up for it.

**Facilities:**
There's no fitness center, but you can pay to use a partner facility. The lobby bar is alright, not too crowded, with a nice corner view of the street. Coffee runs between 6-7 Swiss francs. The room isn't huge, but it's fully functional, and the bathroom is quite spacious, which is great for travelers.

**Cleanliness:**
The common areas, like the lobby and hallways, are well-maintained, and the room was very tidy. You can definitely trust the cleanliness standards of Swiss hotels.

**Service:**
Check-in and check-out were both quick. Our room was ready well in advance, and luggage storage was straightforward. They provide a Basel Card, which offers free use of all city public transport and half-price entry to some museums. I didn't particularly notice any other services.

Our first time in Basel and we chose Schweizerhof after reading through the reviews. The proximity of the hotel to Basel SBB station is a plus point. Had a nice surprise at the room size n the design of the room. Enjoyed our hotel stay and would recommend this to other travellers too. Location is good with the tram n buses running in-front of the hotel making going around easier.
Would hope to come back in future after the hotel complete its upgrading.

Conveniently located, right next to the train station with good access to trams and the bus to the airport. The room was spacious, the breakfast was decent, and the staff were curtious.
