We had an amazing stay here. Great, friendly, cheerful, and very helpful staff in all areas of hotel. Yummy treats at front desk, along with cozy lobby area to sit and have a drink or just relax after a day in Basel. Hotel is immaculate in all areas. Housekeeping does a wonderful job. Breakfast buffet is fantastic with such a variety of offerings, including a warm dish that changed daily. We had eggplant parmigiana one day, porridge with cherries another day, shakshuka another, curried lentil soup on yet another morning. Wow! Plus all kinds of breads, meats, cheeses, and many other things to choose from. And who doesn’t love a do it yourself espresso / coffee machine!
Bus 30 drops you off directly in front of hotel and will take you back to train station in five minutes, plus many other transport connections that make getting around very easy, especially as hotel provides card giving free public transport. A five minute walk to many restaurants and places to see nearby.
We had a tiny problem with our shower head and front desk had it replaced by the time we returned. Impressive! Don’t think we’ve ever had such a prompt and efficient response to an issue at a hotel before. Bravo! Cannot recommend this hotel more - we are sad to leave! Thank you 🤗!!!

This hotel is located in a strategic area. Convenient public parking is available, and the city center is less than 10 minutes away. Friendly and helpful staff. Recommended for both families and business travelers.

The hotel was located in a safe area and walkable distance to the old town area. We enjoyed sharing a welcome drink with the personable receptionist.

Great front desk staff, loved the welcome drink, candy and cookies in the lobby, one tram stop from train station, walkable to many areas of interest, water tap on each floor. Con was not enough outlets and bad lighting in the room.

We stayed only one night--six people in three rooms. We did not get the renovated rooms. The bathroom was extremely small but fine. We did not get the breakfast. The location of this hotel was perfect for exploring the Christmas markets. One negative was that the recommended parking garage was full, so we had to park our rental car at the main train station, which was a bit of a distance away and more expensive than anticipated. One note about cleanliness: I happened to spot a an old room key or something under the luggage stand/box mounted on the wall. Who knows how long it had been there, but it just made me feel like the room was not thoroughly cleaned. Otherwise, every staff member we dealt with was really friendly and helpful.

We walked up and thought this wasnt a good choice but once we walked through the door our minds were changed conpletely. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. Offer a free drink to each of us and chocolate and cookies.

This is my family and Friends first time staying in Basel. And my family is very happy to stay at this hotel.

The staffs, front counter, Alex and etc, they are great 👍🏻 and welcoming to us. The room is clean, the lounge area serve great coffee and tea. And the hotel is in fact is only 1 stop from Basel Railway station. Take bus 30.

Excellent check in, quick stroll to city center and Christmas markets. City is hilly so there are stairs! Hotel has charming gnome garden, and places to sit, with blankets if it’s chilly. Nice breakfast buffet. Staff was lovely.

Wonderful experience in all aspects. 3-4 min walk to a number of good restaurants.
