Great environment/atmosphere, decent location. Parking is not ideal. Bathroom cleanliness was an issue. Staff was very friendly. The mattresses, even by hostel standards, were not good. But, again, great atmosphere.

Quaint little hostel, they have a laundromat on site which is very handy, and they give free detergent. Rooms can be a bit hot sometimes. Staff is very nice and helpful. The nightclub has fun activities.

Pretty quirky place but cool. Attic room is spacious. Communal restrooms, reasonably clean, but weird showers where you have to keep pressing the knob to keep it running. Nice outdoor bar and underground club. Short walk to the train station.

Awesome hostel with plenty of things to do. Bar, Club, games room, Hammocks (for sleeping or relaxing), free bus ticket for the whole town, right next to an Irish pub and most importantly lovely staff! We didn't get a chance to do any of the local activities which included ice wall climbing and parachuting but next time we're here we'll certainly give it a go! Not your typical empty boring hostel and is only a 15 minute walk from the Interlaken west station. Would highly recommend.

Awesome hostel in a beautiful place! perfect place for backpackers; great vibes, super social, super nice staff, big choice for free breakfast, delicious burgers in the beer garden and so many things to do around! I'll definitely come back! :-D

Really cool with a great vibe. Popped in to see a friend who works here having moved to Interlaken from the UK. Facilities seemed great, good variety of drinks available, lots of places to sit. The tent village is really cool too with bar, hot tub, pool etc. Definitely aimed at the 20-something age group. A really nice place, I will definitely consider staying here in future after seeing it today!

I stayed at Balmers Hostel for three nights while on vacation. I booked a private room and could not have been more pleased with it. It came with a sink within the room, towels, and all of the necessities. The bathrooms and showers were close by and very clean. The location of Balmers was a short 5-10 minute walk from downtown. I was most pleased with the environment and the overall service I received while at Balmers. The staff members were very friendly and available. They also offered a free breakfast every morning. I would highly suggest stopping here or staying here as it has been one of the best hostels I have stayed at while traveling abroad.

A decent hostel for good price considering how expensive accommodation in Switzerland. They also have activities in the hostel that everyone can join. They give free bus tickets that you can use during your stay in Interlaken. Near to restaurants and coffee shop. Definitely a good option for solo travelers and to anyone looking for a budget accommodation.
