It was an outstanding view , but the rooms are a bit old and no air conditioning so for such a hotel it’s a bit weird. And we had to pay for a baby cot. Never had to pay for a baby bed in any other hotel .

The friendly atmosphere and the beautiful views, not to mention the food. Still on the menu of the day. More than recommended, a must even for lunch or coffee... This is one of the most beautiful places I've visited in Switzerland. Although there are no ugly places in Switzerland... I must admit. 🇨🇭 Everything here is wonderful. It felt like paradise." A very elegant hotel, with beautiful views across the lake. I loved the view from my balcony and my room was large and well equipped. The hotel restaurant included outside tables, with blankets offered as it began to cool down. Food at breakfast and dinner was well prepared and extremely good quality. We avoided the wine, it was just too expensive, but it’s Switzerland, where nothing is cheap! All staff were extremely professional and made us feel very welcome. Convenient bus service into Lucerne was just a 10’ walk away and allowed the driver to take a day off.

This hotel is a gem! We are so happy that we chose this hotel. Sarah at the front desk and Daniella during breakfast were both amazing and kind and made our stay so enjoyable. Very clean rooms and amazing service. We didn’t want to leave the comfort of this hotel.

Tourists should make the trek here rather than stay in Luzern. One can get good quality food like in the city — without the poor customer service.

In Restaurant Sternen, the workers are all friendly and efficient. As an American who now lives here, I found myself missing the „chit-chat“ of restaurant staff. Here, the employees were not shy about having small conversations with our table. Also, almost four different people made sure our table was doing fine.
I was surprised to find this caliber of customer service in Switzerland.

We didn’t stay in the hotel because our house is nearby, but it‘s nice to meet here for drinks and/or dinner.

The outside eating area is right on the water. An alternative to an expensive dinner is to sit at any of the small tables overlooking the water and the gorgeous view of the mountains (the view never seem to stop inspiring even one lives here).

The food is healthy and fresh at typical Swiss prices, so might as well come here the eat in the city with poor customer service.

The Seehotel Sternen in Horw boasts a stunning location on Lake Lucerne – no question about it. The service was friendly, although we had to wait a long time, but the terrace was quite full, so that was fine. However, I was more than surprised and speechless when I paid for the cappuccino: CHF 6.70, served in a regular coffee cup, without any special presentation! No chocolate powder, just a bit of foam! For a hotel of this category, one might expect a certain price premium, but this is simply unacceptable. This cappuccino should be removed from the menu. It's a complete disappointment for CHF 6.70.

I recently stayed at Seehotel Sternen in Horw, and it was an incredible experience! The hotel is impeccably clean and beautifully maintained, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive.

The restaurant is a true highlight, offering a fantastic menu with delicious dishes made from fresh, local ingredients. Each meal I had was a culinary delight, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of my stay was perfect. The stunning views of the lake added to the overall charm of the hotel.

I highly recommend Seehotel Sternen to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with top-notch accommodations and dining. I can’t wait to return!

The hotel is located right on Lake Lucerne. The views from our balcony were amazing overlooking the lake with a view of the mountains in the background. Breakfast is included and was good. The staff are friendly and very sweet. The hotel is only 10-15m drive to downtown Lucerne. Bed is a bit soft and the pillows thin. So, for people with back problems at least ask for additional pillows. Shower was great.
