We returned to the hotel Lowen in preparation for our daughter’s destination wedding in Engelberg. The hotel is a short walk from the train station and is on the shoreline of Lake Zug. It is picturesque and within the old town of Zug adjacent to a wonderful plaza that borders the lake. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The rooms are quite comfortable. We especially looked forward to the wonderful breakfast served in the mornings.

Excellent location especially in summer on a nice sunny day, few metres from lake and surrounded by restaurants. Efficient and no frills service but very consistent and reliable throughout all the years that i have been coming to this hotel. Very friendly staff, restaurant menu was limited during my last visit but food quality was good

Loved my stay at the Lowen hotel ticked all the boxes. The corner room was spacious with 4 big windows giving a reasonable view of the lake. The staff at reception were great. The location in the old town opposite the lake can't be beaten. Nice to find a family run hotel. My only grumble breakfast could be better especially the bakery quality and coffee. So hope next time I stay it will be improved then I can give 5 star

Nice renovated Hotel in Zug very close to the lake and also the center. Staff is very friendly and the rooms are nice - some are facing lake of Zug. It is a smaller, nice and cozy place - not that cheap, rather on the higher end of pricing, but this you know before... All in all it was nice and it is recommended as there are also hardly any alternatives around.

Hotel Lowen is a beautiful traditional Swiss hotel situated in a spectacular location overlooking the lake. The hotel's staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel when staying in lovely Zug.

Actually the Loewe in Zug turns to be an institution. Located at a central place near the lake offer to the clients a unique experience, Swiss quality service, attention and value. The restaruant with a large menu, offers all types of dishes, we really enjoyed the service, that was garnet also to the success of the meetings held.

I stayed in this hotel quite a bit a few years ago and always enjoyed my stays. So I was looking forward to staying again whilst in Zug on business. First impressions were excellent with a warm welcome and efficient check in. The hotel has obviously been refurbished since my previous stay and the room was very good. The furniture was modern and comfortable, and additions such as the Nespresso machine were a nice touch. The bathroom was clean and the shower excellent. The bed was comfy and I slept well. Breakfast selection in the morning was good with plenty of choice. I have no complaints or issues about this hotel and would happily stay here again. Ands I have no problem recommending it.

The best grilled chicken I have ever tasted in my wholelife ..The view of the Alps should also be mentioned.. Chicken In the basket:) Yummy

Excellent, quiet, cosy hotel. The only thing that did not like - not varied Breakfast ( scrambled eggs, muesli, bread and perhaps all)
