The hotel has a very nice atmosphere - a 19th century villa with big windows and a lot of lights, hard wood floors. It's conveniently located in Engelberg village. We haven't seen any staff, but everything was very smooth - the reception is unmanned, an envelope with a key was waiting for us when we arrived, the staff was responsive via messages. There is also a lovely kitchen for hotel guests.
The Hotel was an experience for me! The decor and rooms are a little bit dated but I had a feeling of being in a real alpine ski hut. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The Hotel also has a great bar area. The breakfast was very basic though but I would stay there again.
great service, really nice rooms, the town is very nice and had a really good day up Titlis, however, everywhere is rather expensive. defiantly recommend!
A nice small hotel in the center of Engelberg, with competent personnel, good lounge and après-ski to help you relax your way after a good day on the mountain
Lovely location and view, nice rustic setting. Small room, no bath, twins pushed together for double. May be a typical Europe setup and adequate but nothing special.
I loved this little hotel. It’s in the middle of a quaint town surrounding by the beautiful Alps.
It’s an older hotel but perhaps that’s what I enjoyed most. The charm of staying in an authentic Swiss hotel. Open your balcony doors and hear the church bells ringing throughout the town.
And enjoy the odd elevator without a door! Or maybe it’s just odd because we don’t see that in the US. I loved it!

Had a great experience here. A traditional Swiss chalet type hotel with wooden flooring and vintage kind of set up with modern amenities. Beautifully located. Lovely view of Alps from balcony. Nice restaurants nearby.
It is very clean but rooms are not comfortable. Super-small washroom, sink outside. Broken tiles at the ceiling. Small, narrow beds. Ok for staying 1 night. Nice lounge.
Very average rooms. If you walk on the floor, everyone else knows it becoz of the noise. Cupboards and doors make a creaking sound, quite irritating enough. Toilet is too small to accommodate even the person using it. Probably the planner forgot its measurements !! Breakfast and Indian Dinner was very good. Go for it only if you get it cheap.
A bit rough around the edges but great breakfast and comfy beds!
