Excellent place for staying overnight. Swiss high quality simple room. Very friendly service. Perfect location as a starting point for snow hiking or a trip to Titlis. Food is good but definitely not the outstanding strength of this location. Due to the high number of tourists it could be very crowded.

Professional and very kind staff, good choice of wine and beers and incredibly delicious food from the Bistro 1800 kitchen, served with love by chef Nikolas personally give you an unforgettable experience.

For the past nine years, we've made Berghotel Truebsee our winter getaway, and it never fails to impress us. The regular updates and thoughtful renovations have kept the hotel feeling fresh and modern while preserving its cozy, welcoming atmosphere. This year, we noticed how the carefully streamlined breakfast options offer just the right balance of variety and quality. The dinner menu, while more concise, has been thoughtfully refined, offering delicious dishes that are well-prepared and beautifully presented.
Every visit feels like coming home, thanks to the impeccable service and attention to detail that make each stay unforgettable.
We wholeheartedly recommend Berghotel Truebsee to anyone seeking a world-class ski resort hotel, and we’re already looking forward to our 10th year here!

The original Berghotel on Titlis mountain has been incorporated into a high speed gondola base that provides access to Titlis mountain for large numbers of international tourists interested in a day excursion to the top of the mountain. Although access to the hotel is limited to guests, the hotel uses the charmless cafeteria facilities to serve dinner and breakfast for those on a half board dining plan. Breakfast includes cold cereals and previously cooked scrambled eggs, bacon and pancakes, and a limited selection of cold meats and cheeses. Dinner is a three course meal with a choice of entree, and a simple appetizer and dessert of average quality and quantity. The room was clean and modern and had comfortable beds. The sauna facility if limited to a single Finish sauna room with a single shower and a small relaxation area it can not handle more than six people at a time. The lounge area is functional but charmless and a bar is limited to an honor bar with a limited selection of wine and beer. The Berghotel is an ideal base for a limited time for those interested in exploring Titlis.

The hotel room itself is old school style with old school lifts.
But the room amenities, the restaurant etc is great! Staff is super friendly too.
The view is breath taking, day or night.
Special mention to the zip line which is a walking distance from the hotel.

We were extremely comfortable and had a few days of absolute downtime here. Location is perfect if you’re planning to ski/hike. You need to be up the mountain before the lift closes at 5pm - our plane landed in Zurich at noon and, travelling by train, this was very comfortably achievable. Everything is clean and welcoming. Our balcony, facing the Trübsee, was sunny in the afternoons, beds were comfortable (though three people to a room felt a little cramped). We loved being able to get up, have a wonderful breakfast, then be straight out and able to ski. At the end of the day, coming home to a sauna was also great. There is an Intersport in the building for ski/boot hire if needed, though this is only open 10.00-16.00. In the ski room there are snow shoes you can borrow if you fancy snow shoeing rather than skiing. Plenty of of great routes direct from the hotel. Be aware that things do close down in the evening- there is not a wild nightlife up here. This was perfect for us, but won’t be for everyone.

Location great for skiing. Room was clean, but very basic. First room smelled very badly so we asked for a new one.Reception lady was nice and offered us a new solution. At first it was better and then very bad smell appeared in the bathroom (sewage?). Having tea/coffee machine in the room would be very nice. If you have booked breakfast and dinner together with the room, you will find yourself eating one day in one restaurant, another day in another. Dinner menu is prefixed which means that you end your day with carb overload. It was tasty, but not at all what we would wish to eat for dinner. Reception was not available 4 out of 5 times when we wanted to talk to them. We liked the fact that everybody gets dedicated breakfast table, but then again the last day the table was changed without letting us know so again a moment of discomfort. Sauna available only after 15h. All together value for the money - not worth it.

Very good hotel. It is the best location. Beautiful like my dreams. But I didn't like one thing because I don't eat pork so the pasta was given to me. I didn't like it but ate it compulsorily to fill my stomach

I did not stay here but had visited the restaurant for lunch. It is self service but very good food and a great view. Thanks to the staff who helped in customising the meal as per my preference

Very comfortable hotel. The meals included are tasty, and they made sure to accommodate my food allergies very kindly. Thank you to the staff for making us feel welcome. The sauna is a must as well. There are many hiking trails directly outside the hotel, as well as boats to take out on the Trübsee. Just as beautiful in Fall as in Summer or winter!
