Hotel Check In great service,on the 28th of May however the nice lady forgot to give us the Ticino card….. Room has a nice view, nice balcony. And a fridge Very thin walls you can hear the neighbors conversation…. That was a bit strange. Showerhead a bit wobbly, shower curtain interesting design choice, towel old and thin not very comfortable. Breakfast not a lot of choices. Considering multi cultural guests. Check out 30th of May Receptionist should maybe look for another job, she came across rude and unfriendly. Only forced a smile out when we said goodbye. If we were to come back to Ascona. We would most likely look for another hotel.

The view from our room is outstanding!! The location is just perfect, 5 minutes walk from the Main Street and the lake. Room is just perfect as well as the bed. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn’t the fact that we had to pay 12 euros for the parking and on *******, it was mentioned included.

The stay in the hotel was very disappointing, the parking spaces were poorly organized and the rooms were very noisy. As soon as we arrived we had to look for another parking space because they were very narrow and the car didn't fit in the parking space. Despite being reassigned to a parking space, our parking space number was re-occupied after a day trip and we had to look for a parking space again. In addition to the problems with the parking spaces, our room neighbors were extremely loud until early in the morning. Despite complaining several times at reception and directly pointing out to the neighbors that the rooms were very noisy, we had to cut our stay short under these unpleasant circumstances. Despite all these inconveniences, the hotel did not accept a refund for the night we did not stay. Since some of the staff were very friendly and helpful, I am giving our stay two stars... otherwise it would have been one star at most for this experience. Maybe we were just unlucky...

Just a quick review to say that the staff here is fantastic and very very helpful. Wife left her watch in the room and they promptly mailed it back to our home. Not for nothing but the views are also incredible.

As always, we were given a very friendly welcome and the stay was very pleasant. The specially reserved parking space and the check-in and check-out worked out well. A very nice gentleman introduced himself as the master of the house and was very uncomplicated and accommodating. As always, we are happy to come back, as we have done for years👏👍

Very centrally located hotel. Rooms in a clean condition, usual standard. The only thing we missed was a kettle to make tea in the evening, but that's just a side note and not a criticism. The breakfast buffet was very extensive and well-stocked. We booked a room with breakfast. We felt very comfortable and can recommend the hotel, with its friendly staff, with a clear conscience!

Even though the rooms are a bit old - especially the bathrooms - they are very clean and functionally furnished (including the bathroom). Everything works. The reception is very warm and courteous. You really feel welcome. The breakfast buffet is beautifully presented and the products are fresh and regional. We felt very comfortable. :-)

We liked it. Unfortunately, the hotel is a bit old. So the price/performance ratio is no longer quite right. On the other hand, the breakfast buffet was sensational! Good selection and very tasty! Good location, very central! But not ideal for me (wheelchair user). But that's not the hotel's fault.

On our way to Italy we stopped over in Switzerland and spent a night at the La Perla hotel in Ascona. For me it was a journey down memory lane as I had stayed there during family holidays some 40 years ago (gosh). La Perla is a very nice place to stay, the hotel is within walking distance from the lake and we enjoyed our time there a lot. The quality of the service is the same, if not better than 40 years ago.
