Good hotel, well located with a beautiful view of the lake and mountains. Rooms are being renovated, with a large walk-in shower, coffee machine, kettle for tea and water, and a minibar with complimentary items! Perfection with one glaring issue: DOGS Amazing stay, loved it, it was literally perfection with the expedition of so many people allowed with dogs at the restaurant it seemed a bit off and kinda off putting but other than that would stay again. And highly recommend.

There is no water heater in the room, and I won't give it if I ask for it. Parking is inconvenient. The bathroom is not good, there is no place to hang towels. There is only one curtain in the shower

I stayed at the Parkhotel in July with my husband and 9 year old daughter. It was lovely! The pictures do not do it justice - the hotel is so much better in person. Parkhotel Delta is located in a more quieter area of Ascona, however we still managed to walk to the Piazza of Ascona in about 20 mins time and by car maybe 5mins only. Everything was perfect. Stayed there for 2 nights and received a free upgrade since the hotel was not booked out. Downtown area, our stay was on a separate building so it was an apartment building not a hotel room. It was ok but no air conditioning. Would not recommend for summer hot days.

Accessing the property is difficult. Street parking is very hard to find, and the road design in Locarno makes it harder to navigate. The rooms also have no AC. It can be very loud at night to open the windows because it’s at the plaza.

Giving this a 3 because the air conditioner didn’t work and staff only gave us a bottle of cold water. This is an important issue during warmer times and it disturbed our sleep. Other than that, a fun hotel very walkable to the waterfront, station, Grand Piazza. Bus to Ascona is right outside and free with Ticino visitor card. Satisfying breakfast. A good Ibis hotel.

We stayed here over New Year's and booked half-board. The welcome at reception was very warm. On New Year's Day, we were offered a generous lunch buffet. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious. The hotel is geared towards elderly as it is also a home for the aged, something that should have been cleared on their side, also with third party travel agents. It should have been placed also in the decription, so as not to surprise the guests. The reception is also not always open (which is not typical for a ‘hotel’). But the staff are nice and accommodating.

charming hotel, front desk guy was SO helpful & nice. it is hard to find - i stopped at a pharmacy to ask for location, they didn't know & it was about 3 minute walking beyond. to find it, you can walk from the train station (10-15 min) towards the main plaza, keep going almost to the end. on the right tucked in the back, after the shops, is the entrance. only complaint is no tv channels in english...
