Smart-HOTEL MINUSIO, a Swiss Quality Hotel in Locarno

A warm welcome with competent service. Well-equipped rooms with extremely comfortable beds. An excellent, extensive breakfast buffet. A prime location with convenient bus connections to Locarno and Ascona (every 10-15 minutes).

Located just outside of Locarno, this is the perfect hotel for a Ticino vacation. A friendly welcome, clean rooms, and a breakfast buffet that leaves nothing to be desired. The pool with loungers is another plus. I would happily recommend it.

We're always happy to take a spontaneous, fine-weather trip to Switzerland's sunny side. At the Garni Smart Hotel, bookings are easy by phone, even if you're only staying one or two nights. The reception is always friendly, and their recommendations for good restaurants leave nothing to be desired. The breakfast buffet is also excellent. The rooms may be small, but they're functionally furnished, and the balcony with its stunning view is perfect for relaxing and unwinding from everyday life. The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood, just a few meters from the bus stop. Several private and many public parking spaces (day tickets with ParkingPay) are available. An electric car charging station is within walking distance.

Lovely, clean hotel, beautifully maintained garden and fantastically friendly and efficient staff. Very nice hotel, extremely good value for money. Well situated for the town and station. The views for the room balconies is stunning, the breakfast is lovely and the pool is very nice too!!

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The service is perfect. The hotel is very clean. I recommend this house to all tourists visiting Minusio Prices are OK for Switzerland. You get vouchers with price reductions to eat in very good restaurants of the town.

We found the hotel very good. It was clean and comfortable. The service was reasonable. The people at reception were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also acceptable for a three star hotel. The hotel location is very close to the bus station. We recommend the hotel for a short stay.

The room absolutely met our needs and expectations. We sat out on the patio on the first floor to admire the stars and planets late at night and it was very peaceful and quiet. The bed was very comfortable and the room super clean and complete. What made the experience however was every single person we came in contact with: from the person who greeted us as we considered the hotel and made several requests that were important for our needs/comfort - someone who had just started that week, was there by herself and absolutely was so pleasant and responsive, to the breakfast hostess who went way beyond her italian breakfast culture roots to provide an expansive and impeccable breakfast spread and pleasant conversation, to the manager who additionally helped with some things, providing advice beyond the scope of her hotelier duties. Everyone had a generous and genuine smile and warmth that just made the place feel like home. It felt like we left a piece of our heart (or at least mine) there in Locarno at Minusio, and while we don't have plans to be back in Locarno, I'm far more likely to return simply because of the people at this hotel. I can't say enough and just appreciate the fact that they had a room for us and responded with so much grace and hospitality - a big thank you!
