Very nice hotel, nice staff, very good and quiet situation. Very confortable bed, nice terrasse with 2 jacuzzi on it, also sauna/hamam (inside) very nice brekfast, a lot of choice. Restaurant (dinner) is according to us not on the level of the hotel.

Large rooms with beautiful view over the lake, interior is a bit dated. Liked the breakfast buffet, with choice of vegan milk and some special vegan food options. Close to the train station and the Piazza Grande.

I didn't stay at the hotel but popped in to hear the piano player and sample the ice cream. Both were most excellent. Oh, and the waiters are nice too, the decor tasteful and the doors suitable for letting us in and out. That's all I know. You should pay a visit and tell us your impressions too.

Quite old, but renovated hotel with nice view, swimming pool, sauna and excellent breakfast. You will be served with various tasty sorts of cheese and their own grape. Very diligent and polite staff puts a lot of effort so that their guests feel cosy. Downside is poor public transportation and limited parking lot that is against surcharge.

It is a 3 star hotel. Service is excellent. Mr Patti, the owner was very good to us. When we arrived we realized that we had made a mistake for the date of our room booking. Mr. Patti accommodated us anyway and gave us two rooms instead of one (better) without charging us the difference. Breakfast is good - excellent coffee. We had a car so we could get around.

Stayed for just one night at the family room with a private bathroom. Overall, it's pretty good for the price: nice mountain/city view, good breakfast (omelette, vegetables, ham, pastry, coffee, juice), comfortable beds and a cozy terrace. Make sure to take you shampoo and be prepared to hear some noise from a waste collection point nearby.

It was a pleasant stay at Home Vecchia Locarno. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was very cozy and comfortable. We arrived yesterday after driving 5 hours from the north of Switzerland. We got a warm welcome from the host. He kindly told us where the cheapest carpark was and how to get back to the hotel. 3 Swiss Francs for 2 hrs! !! Amazing. 5 stars motivated by the positioning of the hotel (Lake and town are so close) and the welcome we received at this familly hotel, best value for money and warm atmosphere. No fancy experience but just what is needed to spend a wonderfull stay and enjoy the city.

Nice hotel close to the city center (less than 10 minutes walk). It is very close to the lake and in a very quite area. The hotel personnel is nice and ready to answer to your questions. The room is simple and clean. One star less than the maximum because I prefer the shower and because the breakfast that is good but not excellent.

The environment is beautiful and the transportation is convenient. Although it is a bit far from the train station, it is still walkable. The hotel breakfast is very rich and delicious. There are several scenic spots worth visiting nearby.

The hotel manager and all the staff did everything in their power to make our stay an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend this place it is great to rest but also has the proper infrastructure to enjoy badminton, play table tennis, have a drink at the outside bar, have a relaxing massage or enjoy a swim in the pool. The food and drinks are reasonably priced and delicious.

Very very friendly staff and everything was good. Unfortunately we had to stay in a building from the 70s - moste things are newly renovated. We thought we would stay at the old classic building who is shown on 98% of all the pictures. Half board was ok but we would not recommend it. It was kind of a wedding party menu. Lovely hotel tucked away and with good access to the lake. Their pool is perfect the gardens are nicely maintained. Breakfast was very good and had all what I could ask for. Even raffaelo and balisto were to be found among other things such as berries, local cheese and freshly brewed coffee. The rooms have thin walls! Bring your earplugs if you're sensitive to it!

Really liked this hotel. It is ideally located with Lake Maggiore out the front and train and bus stations just behind. We stayed for 3 nights in a recently renovated double room with a good sized balcony and lake view. Breakfast buffet was very good. You can also help yourself to tea and coffee at any time. Nice little hotel, perfect for a short break. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are small but very clean. The breakfast buffet is nicely presented, great variety of cheeses. We would come again.

Nice little hotel. Breakfast menu is okay but could also be more extensive. No minibar, which is a shame. The elevator has not been repaired for a long time, because you have the feeling it is about to get stuck or crash. The bathroom was rather small, so that you could hardly move.

Didn't stay at the hotel but had a breakfast/brunch at the cafe and loved my visit. Many vegan options and good coffee. The food was delicious yet the best part was definitely the service — Nils and the other female worker (whose name I didn't realise to ask, sorry!) were super friendly and attentive.
