During the winter season this is one of the best restaurants of the village. Traditional Swiss kitchen. Large terras outside. If the weather is bad, it is really crowded inside. Reservations are recommended.

Unbelievably unwelcoming.
First of all there is no reception; if you can call a dusty old table with no instructions a reception area go ahead but if I'm paying that amount of money, least you could do is clean the place.
Secondly, there are no instructions ANYWHERE. Apparently we just "had to know" because this is how it's done "in this country". In Switzerland we write rules and instructions and communicate very clearly. I am assuming the manager or whoever the guy that was working there wasn't educated properly in swiss standards.
I arrived late at the restaurant ( almost 9) with a pulled knee ligament and the guy just looked at us like we had done the most horrendous crime when we asked if the kitchen was still open/if they had any snacks.
We went to the sauna to see if it was open and it still was ( no timetable, no instructions, nothing was locked) and we entered the sauna while it was still hot. Didn't turn it on, just used the heat.
This guy just storms inside yelling at us, zero communication. I don't understand how he can afford to be so racist(telling me "in switzerland we do things this and that way" ).
The hotel is still using bedsheets from 1970s, pillows from China, spiders everywhere, bad smells in the hallway and warm water took ages. I would've overlooked everything if there was a friendly person smiling at you. But not when someone is yelling "Get out" like some unhinged animal.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Jungfrau in Fiescheralp! It’s a great base for hiking in the region.
Breakfast is absolutely delicious! The host, Lea, makes almost everything herself, from bread to jams to honey…
We did a guided tour on the Aletsch glacier (2 days with one night at the Konkordiahütte) with her husband Marcel, who is an official mountain guide.
The hotel’s restaurant serves delicious meals, especially appreciated in the evening, after a full day of hiking.
The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Ask for a room with Matterhorn view!

What a great place to stay! Best shower in Europe (in the last 2 months of travel), very friendly staff, sunny, bright, comfortable rooms and an epic location. Wish we had stayed more than one night, but that just means we will have to go back

Excellent situation, comfy and well decorated room with super view and balcony. Nice restaurant, there is good choice for vegetarians, which is rarely enough in Oberwallis!

Great view of the mountains from the bedroom. Very accomodating for a vegan diet. They had almond milk for coffee, made vegan bircher müsli and waffles for breakfast and had two vegan dinner choices.

Unreliable, terrible customer service. More than a month later, we didn’t hear from the hotel, we didn’t receive any invoice for the stay which never happened (because of an accident!). Trying to call, but they hang up. Not profesional. Do not recommend.

Best restaurant in the Fiesch/Fiescheralp area - everything from salads, Pizza, soups (try the weissweinsuppe), mains (my favourites are the Rumpsteak, gnocchi with local blue cheese), to the chocolate cake is just great. The hotel is also very good and just next to the chair lifts. And to top it all, you have a stunning view of the Alps.

Intolerable! Part 2 They charged us money for a night we did not spend there due to an accident(see my previous post), and now they don’t even want to send us the invoice, because we were so unfriendly. We wouldn’t be unfriendly, if the would not have lied to us in the first place. They told us that booking has the invoice and it is our problem, which is not true. Time to engage a lawyer!

Honestly not sure why it’s only 4.3… I had the best meal since I moved to Switzerland. Also top 3 steak I ever had in my life. Everything was delicious including wine and desert. Great view rooms. I’m impressed
