Hotel Garni Testa Grigia in Zermatt

Hotel Testa Grigia delivered a truly wonderful stay. Our room was spacious and very comfortable—perfect for relaxing after a day in the mountains. Breakfast each morning was a highlight, with a generous variety of fresh, delicious options to start the day right. The staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our visit. The location is ideal, with easy access to the train station and village charm all around. Highly recommended for anyone seeking comfort, convenience, and top-notch service in Zermatt.

I cannot express enough gratitude to Victor and the team at Hotel Garni Testa. After checking out and leaving Zermatt, I realized I had left my beloved hats behind. In a moment of desperation, I reached out to Victor with a total long shot, asking if there happened to be any fellow Singaporeans currently staying at the hotel who might be kind enough to bring them back home to Singapore for me.
Not only did Victor take my unusual request seriously, but he actually made it happen!
He found a wonderful Singaporean couple staying at the property, entrusted my belongings to them, and coordinated the connection. I have since met up with the couple back home and have been happily reunited with my hats.
It feels like an absolute miracle! Victor went completely above and beyond the call of duty for a past guest. This level of care and hospitality is incredibly rare. If you are visiting Zermatt and want to stay somewhere where you are genuinely looked after, look no further than Hotel Garni Testa.

About the hotel: Great location along the main street and short walk from the station. Room (208) is clean and cozy. I enjoyed sitting and relaxing by the balcony watching people and sunset past 9pm. Weather was perfectly cool at night in late spring. Breakfast is good and starts at 7am. Nespresso coffee capsules and machine are provided.

We had a beautiful stay in this hotel. In the middle of our trip we had a problem with our travel and the staff was so comprehensive and helpful. I recommend it and I hope to return soon

Location value staff and so accommodating. I would absolutely stay here again. The place is in the middle of everything. So clean and so convenient and I had an unobstructed view of the Matterhorn. Wonderful experience.

Excellent hotel. Quaint, comfortable, clean, great service (including Victor on the front desk), 5-7 minute easy walk along the Main Street from the train station. I would definitely stay here again.

The room was completely unexpected and a complete surprise. It was incredibly large, much larger than most hotels in China. While most European hotels are like little pigeon coops, this one had a large bathroom, a spacious living room, and even enough space for an L-shaped leather sofa. Best of all, there was a huge balcony with a view of the Matterhorn. No need to wake up early or stay up late to see the golden mountain at sunrise.
The facilities were complete, the breakfast was plentiful, the front desk was friendly, and they even offered luggage storage.
