Zanzi Resort Private Paradise in Zanzibar City

We recently celebrated our anniversary at Zanzi Resort, and the experience exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel genuinely welcome and well taken care of.

We stayed in an ocean front villa with a private pool, which offered excellent privacy and seclusion—something we particularly appreciated as a Muslim couple. The setting allowed us to fully relax without concern, and the villa itself was spotless, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed.

The food was exceptional throughout our stay, with a great variety and consistently high quality. The ambiance of the resort is serene and beautifully curated, making it perfect for a peaceful getaway. A special highlight was our anniversary dinner on the jetty, which was truly memorable and very well organized.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Francis, Beatrice, Mohamed, and Ewelina for their warm welcome and attentive service. Their hospitality, along with the efforts of the entire team, made our stay truly special.

Overall, Zanzi Resort delivered an outstanding experience in terms of service, cleanliness, privacy, and atmosphere. We highly recommend it for couples looking for a relaxing and memorable escape.

Ps - if you are a cat lover, you will also enjoy meetin the on site Meownager, Coco, who is the chillest cat on earth!

I stayed for three nights as a solo traveler in one of the garden suites. Overall, I think this is an excellent resort that is affordable, clean, with a gorgeous beach very friendly staff I did not do full board but was able to order off the lunch menu for dinner and overall the food was good.

I saw snakes, huge centipedes, lots of different species of fish, hermit crabs bush babies, and other types of lizards. I think this would be really cool if your child is into animals. If you’re interested in snorkeling, bring your own mask. There is only one at the resort and it’s quite scratched up. Also- bring sunscreen as it’s $50USD at the resort. Also, the beach is not really accessible if you’re handicapped because the one stair to the ocean is several feet from the sand and you have to jump off of it.

The hotel is only about 30 minutes from Stonetown in the airport which makes it really convenient if you are only there for a few days.


I had a massage, which was excellent. I booked through ******* so I got 20% off of spa service and a free drink. I will definitely be back with my family.

I have been in many resorts around the world, but the best one, so far is Zanzi Resort in Zanzibar. Excellent is the word for everything in this amazing resort: exceptional staff, cleanliness, great location, delicious food, comfortable rooms. We were greeted by the Assistant General Manager, Mr.Elias Soka, a very professional and competent manager. His hospitality management skills and his whole team, makes you and your family feel like in paradise. Excellent leader! And because of that, his team excellent too. Verry clean and very confortable resort! Thank you so much and congratulations all for making our vacation amazing!

The food was incredible and the service was amazing. Everyone took the time to learn our names and even helped us expand our Swahili vocabulary. The chef changed the dinner menu every night, which made every meal feel special. They offer many add ons to enhance your trip as well and many in-house activities organised for you.

Everything about this hotel is 5*!! The property is extremely well maintained! The food was absolutely delicious, every single member of staff was so lovely, attentive and welcoming! We sat out on the jetty every day to view sunset - breathtaking views and we also managed to see some dolphins! Thank you for looking after us so well and giving our family some wonderful memories :)

Very good hotel, good environment, good service, a small beach, clean swimming pool. We booked a one-price package with three meals included, and the food was very good and it felt very worthwhile.
