What a gem of a place. Modern, clean & stylish. We stayed here for 4 nights and explored the island from there. We were well looked after and the room was very comfortable. Be prepared for concrete walls... everywhere but they are clean and polished and help excude a cool feel against the heat of the day. A great base on the west coast (the shore here mainly mangrove swamps) with a very short walk to lots of cafes and shops. I got most of my knick knacks to take home from the village, there were some lovely unique crafted pieces by local artisans. It was easy to access the superb beaches on the East coast and we hired bikes from almost next door or used local songthaew. Our host also introduced us to nearby Mina's kitchen and we had an amazing cooking class there.

Does what it says on the tin. But in the best way, cosy minimalistic rooms, close to the village centre, lovely members of staff and a little bar with a work space. Also parking for scooters. Highly recommend!

The property offered a clean and safe place to sleep. It is indeed very simple. My room had a pot for steaming water, but no in room coffee or tea. The price was very reasonable, and reflected the no frill option. For me, Id be willing to up the budget next time for more on site ammenities. The Simple represents good value for a no frills stay.

The simple was simple but we knew this when booking and it was great for a cheap-ish one night after exploring Yao Noi. The room was clean and we had a comfortable nights sleep. Receptionist was helpful booking taxis but wasn’t able to help with much more than this when we wanted to book a tour so you’re best booking that yourself beforehand. I don’t think we met the famous ‘Jackie’ everyone talks about in the reviews so maybe that was why. There was no breakfast offered but was offered an espresso or Americano or a tea in the morning. Location wise you’re a bit far from the main beaches but if you have a motorbike you’d be fine. We didn’t so we found it a bit expensive to get around via taxi

I’d give it 4.5/5. We stayed at The Simple for four nights over Christmas. The host Jackie s very helpful & you couldn’t ask for a better host. We stayed with our 2 children & apart from them wanting a swimming pool we had a lovely Christmas here. It is very central to the town with 7-11, restaurants and shops. As has been said the beach isn’t close but we hired scooters and enjoyed exploring. The island is nice and quiet. They have a sister resort which is on the beach & there’s a free shuttle to and from. Definitely worth spending at least a day there. There’s something about Koh Yao Noi that got under our skin. There are other islands with more turquoise waters but we loved the island’s chilled atmosphere. It wasn’t touristy, which probably helped. I would recommend to anyone. It is simple but sometimes in life that is not a bad thing. Clean simple rooms with good Wi fi & nice and quiet. I slept well here.

A wonderful place! Highly recommend to book it. A lovely place with small but exceptionally clean rooms! The rooms have everything needed for your stay. Wonderful staff that supports you during your stay with great tips and is super fast in contact prior to arrival. Also super cute bags, accessories - all handmade - in their little store area at the reception.

The best place to stay in the island, located in a central location, Jackie is so helpful, she helped us know everything about the island ( where to visit/activities) , you can also get a scooter from here.
The rooms are exactly as the name is suggesting simple but clean and what you just need to have a nice evening and quality sleep so you can keep on navigating during the day the island

Great and affordable hotel.
The manager is really friendly and will give you lots of advice to get around the island.
Rooms are a bit dark but at least they stay cool !
You can also rent scooters or book a ferry to get to other islands.

Jackie and everyone at The Simple were very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They gave us everything we needed and arranged taxis, boat tours, had free bicycles and motorbikes for rent. The breakfast was delicious: coffee, toast and jam, and fruit, the best mango I’ve ever had! Jackie speaks great English and can give you advice on where to go and what to see. The rooms are nice and there’s a central living area to hang out in. Definitely recommend staying here!
