Clean room and very good service of the staff! The main pool is not directly under the sun in the morning- so perfect for us who doesn’t like too much sun exposure :-) They surprised me with a free birthday cake as well :-)

This is our third year in a row choosing this hotel. It has a large, green area, plenty of activities for both kids and adults, and the sea and beach are perfect

The room is huge, clean, bright, with a private pool, terrace, and sun loungers. The hotel grounds are vast with many pools and various facilities: spa, gym, a superb kids' club, climbing wall, skate track, and golf

The staff are friendly, always smiling, and consistently eager to help guests. There's a beautiful beach with a bar, fire pits, billiards, great sun loungers, and an excellent sea, along with paddleboards, kayaks, etc

Our family room was spacious, with comfortable beds and pillows. Robes, an iron, beach slippers, and regular slippers were all provided. There's also a spa at the hotel. The price is quite reasonable for a hotel

Went to this resort especially for my daughter, as there was a kid swimming pool with sliders. Everything was perfect, she enjoyed the pools and the kids club with all the activities offered (climbing, candles making

Also the lobby itself in not airconditioned - it can be very warm and uncomfortable with mosquitoes around, It would be great if at least the main lobby is airconditioned. Linen and towels were very good

Great resort with lots of activities and facilities. Staff very friendly and helpful. Was low season so was not busy but still there was lots of activities on offer each day

Went as part of a large group but would be fine for couples or solo travellers as they have events for people travelling alone

Excellent for full relaxing time in the resort. Cost of meals for Half or full board is very steep as are the SPA charges

Well kept and with many many facilities. Veyy helpful and responsive staff. Huge beach front - excellent for bathing

If I had to find a fault then I would say that the AirCon in dining sitting area was very poor and ineffective. evena after requests it remained hot in side

Very good hotel for families with kids. Great variety of pools and super diverse and rich kids club. Breakfast is good but not the best, same for the experienced in other hotels along the trip, probably Thai standards

We had a pool access room this time which was lovely. So nice to have a quieter swim in the afternoon after the mayhem and fun of the slides etc. This was our second visit and we had a great time

We have an enjoyable stay in The Sands. This is a kids friendly hotel, my son love the water park, pool, room. Environment very nice, breakfast have a lot of choice

They could make small adjustments such as not putting all the kids plates and cutlery underneath the drinks station at breakfast creating quite a bit of congestion but obviously that’s just a small detail

Hotel is Hugh, there is a lake with fishes and birds which the fed every day for kids experience

We extended our stay the minute we saw the beach. The resort is old and has its old charm but the service is great and people are friendly and beach is just incredible and lots of restaurants options around the resort

You also have taxi service at the entrance so easy to move around. I highly recommend this place if u want to switch off and relax, very serene atmosphere

When we arrived, the first thing we hoped for (after our Bali experience) was a welcome drink with a cold aromatic towel — in Bali it was warm

One we got to our room (villa with private pool) we got the impression that parts of the complex including the private villas were quite old and worn off

Then we were lucky to have Snow as our receptionist, a very polite and humble Thai girl. She upgraded our stay to a swim-up suite, which became the highlight of our vacation

Perfect hotel resort — a very beautiful area. It’s a bit far from Khao Lak, but if you want to chill in peace, this is the place

It’s out of the main area on Khao lak (400bhat for taxi /15mins) but local areas has some nice restaurants and all your usual Thai tourist shops. Pool area is lovely and right in the beach

The infinity pool by the beach was great for relaxing with a drink during happy hour. Breakfast was excellent, with a good variety of fresh fruits and local dishes

Plus, direct beach access is a huge bonus

This was my favorite hotel of the trip, full of a relaxed vibe. The beach, sunshine, pool, and garden were all perfect

The resort is a bit hilly with plenty of steps to the beach, which might be challenging for people with mobility issues, but overall, it’s a great spot for a peaceful getaway if you prefer tranquility over nightlife

This is our second time staying at this hotel. We really like the location, the grounds, the incredibly friendly staff. There are several children's pools for the youngest guests. The room is a bit old, but clean

In the evenings they deliver clean towels for the beach to the rooms. We will definitely come back here again!

This place is very suitable for a family vacation. The staff are lovely, provide good service, and take care of every customer. Everyone is smiling and cheerful, especially the receptionist who gives a warm welcome

The beach directly at the hotel is not ideal for swimming, I recommend taking a taxi to Coconut beach - we did that twice and loved it. We also booked a day trip to Similan Islands which I highly recommend

Also, all the staff are friendly and greet you with bright smiles. I'm especially grateful to the reception staff, Manager PHUMI(?) and the female receptionist GHO(?)

Their kindness and support made our vacation even more enjoyable and wonderful. Thanks to the manager who even came to see us off in a taxi. I'd love to visit again if I get the chance

The rooms are being upgraded now and there's a fair bit of renovation work, especially in the beach side of the resort. We stayed in the pool access wing and the pool itself was very big

The atmosphere was wonderful, and it's situated right by the sea. Rooms are spacious, and the large swimming pool was a blast.

The property was exceptionally clean and had a very pleasant atmosphere. I give it a perfect 10/10, and I'll certainly be back!

A small towel was missing when the room was first cleaned on our first day.

The grounds are quite spacious. However, the actual beachfront belonging to the hotel is rather small. A big plus is that the hotel is located right on the beach, and their sun loungers are complimentary

A quiet, calm beach within walking distance, mostly foreigners relax. The rooms have towels, you can take them with you to the beach, there are enough sun loungers on the beach

A very lovely location and super gardens. Outstanding selection of Swimming Pools and a lovely beach location. Breakfast choices were also good with excellent Egg choices and food selection. Staff were brilliant.

We stayed at Seaview Resort in a Deluxe Pool Villa, and overall had a very good experience. The resort has the potential to be truly outstanding, but signs of wear are visible in the general areas

Walk the beach, enjoy the views, but pool’s early close.

A bit dated and no lifts to the 3rd floor. Almost everything closes or stops around 10pm including stuff in the hotel, except a pub with a live band on the main road. The beach is alright and clean

My toddler loved the 2 separate pools that were perfect for children. Massages by the spa staff were really good too. Perfect retreat location to relax

The staff at the resort were amazing. We had an issue with not being able to use contactless payment but this was eventually resolved. The food was great too, pools and gym were very good

Stayed for 3 nights at this beautiful hotel. Special thanks to Ryan from the Reception who helped us find a room that was better suited to my toddlers requirements. This helped make our visit much easier & happier

The rooms were not just beautiful, but thoughtfully designed to provide comfort and luxury in various details. The bubble jet element to the pool access of my pool access room was an ingenious touch

We were welcomed by Gee Jin and warmth from arrival to departure. Rooms are big, cleaned thoroughly by housekeeping. There are 2 restaurants and we had the pool access which was great! Kids loved the kids club

There hotel provided clean towels and pool towels, bottled and filtered water and amazing to use a dehumidifier in the room as the last time we started in Thailand, there was so much moisture in the room which led to the dampness and damp smell

Luxurious resort, with great staff and friendly service. Mohan shone as an exemplary employee. Say 'Hi' to him of you catch him at 'The Bar'. Plenty of restaurants offering a full array of Thai and Western foods

We had a swim out room and that was amazing to have! We went with family so it was great to just swim to their rooms. The hotel is a little tired but overall was a nice hotel and staff

From breakfast to dessert the food was delicious and plentiful. I had a chicken parmigiana and my daughter had a carbonara pasta that were easily the best that we have ever had

Location - it is a little drive to the main party of town about 10 minutes but amazing to have beach side restaurants and shops just outside the hotel

Selection at times were limited and after a while you tend to have the same things but more reason to try the restaurants in the area

Gorgeous hotel/villa resort on the beach with perfect views, amazing food and fantastic facilities. (gym,swimming pool, games area etc) staff members are all humble and friendly and always happy to help

I think the chef deserves a mention here too because every single meal from breakfast until dinner has been absolutely perfect! 5 stars, thank you Khao Lak Emerald Resort for making my Wife and I so happy during our stay with you x

Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are a good size but the villa’s are a bit small. Lovely little pool attached to the villa’s and 2 good community pools

Tiles are falling off and the pumps are probably not working properly as the water did not look or feel clean. If the pool areas were in good condition this place would definitely get a 4 star!

A really wonderful place to stay. I love the way they have taken environment into consideration. The hotel video is brilliant I watched it all a few times as it explained everything around the hotel

We always had enough space for our own, the rooms are big, there are enough seats at the beach and the pool and also enough tables at the breakfast buffet. We checked out very early and our luggage was picked up in time

We enjoyed our stay of 8 nights very much! When arrived our booked rooms were not ready and we got an upgrade for 1 night for the pool villa and also a voucher for one dinner in the hotel restaurant,which was amazing

Great location and grounds with mature trees and well tended gardens. Pool and beach have plenty of seating scattered in the gardens. Food was good served in 2 restaurants

The resort is surrounded by nature, with lots of greenery, big trees, and a peaceful atmosphere that immediately makes you feel calm. It feels very different from busy resorts, which is exactly what we were looking for

The resort has all the pools and bars you'd expect in a resort and miles upon miles of beach a few steps away. Situated a few kilometres from the town of Khao Lak has its advantages and disadvantages

i recently spent 2 weeks here, and my 60th birthday. The hotel is lovely, the food a staff are amazing, as is the location. We went on lots of trips out to elephant sanctuaries, James Bond island, temples and blessings

Apsara Beachfront Resort and Villa was an excellent choice. We had a villa with its own pool accessible from both rooms, a central living area and an outdoor shower

We stayed here for our honeymoon in March (a massively delayed review!) and honestly, a piece of my heart was left in this hotel. We stayed on the villa side, and from start to finish it was absolutely incredible

The hotel guests are mostly English or English speaking, in contrast to many others in Thailand which are seemingly dominated by the Russian hordes. Everything you could possibly want in a holiday

We bought several trips through the hotel and they were really high quality - much better food and vehicles than I’ve experienced on previous trips to Thailand, although a bit more pricey

Great place to stay if you want to get away from it all. We stayed in June and had the place to ourselves so recommended if you want privacy

The accommodation is really good. I wonder why it's not popular. The sunset in the evening is really beautiful. The staff I met when I checked in were not very nice

Also the cleaner forgot the hat in ours bathroom when she came to clean🥲 I’m so sad to staying at the beautiful accommodation but the services and the noise didn’t make us rest

And there was music party during the night at the beach close to beach front villa where I stayed every single nights! No one told us or proposed any option when we checked in

Phang Nga Bay was about 5 degrees cooler than the main island, so even under the blazing sun, spending half a day in the connecting pool wasn't hot at all

Extremely satisfied with our Chinese New Year family trip! Our whole family loves relaxing at hotels, so the slightly remote location was definitely worth it for the low crowds, especially compared to the usual throng on Phuket island itself

There were very few Chinese tourists, mostly Europeans, Russians, and some Indians who were all quite well-behaved, unlike the noisy ones you sometimes encounter in places like Singapore

We were so comfortable just relaxing that we barely participated in any hotel activities, though the pool was quite lively

We chose this resort due to the fact that they offer an all inclusive package, this is not usually my preference but they do it very well, the drinks and food were delicious, all reasonable requests were accommodated with courtesy

Food was good in the breakfast area too, lot of different cuisine ranging from traditionally western dishes to more eastern Asian cuisine. I think we stayed in room 3342 and it was amazing too

Hotel receptionist Pang was very kind enough to take my photos on the viewpoint area so if she could read this I would be very appreciative!! :) all the staff in the hotel were very friendly

The balcony area was really nice, very spacious and the cleaners were very proactive in being efficient. One of the best hotels/holidays I’ve been on so far

Unfortunately at the moment it's a "if you can't beat them join them" so be at the beach before 8. 30!! Absolutely no hesitation in recommending this hotel

I forgot to write this! We stayed at La Vela from 17th October 2025 to 30th October 2025. Our flight was Emirates from Manchester - Dubai - Phuket

The breakfast was absolutely delicious, with so many options to choose from! The room had a huge bath on the balcony (not a spa), comfortable beds, and a great shower with three different settings — almost like a spa experience

There are a few pools to choose from during the day with the beach close. There is a shuttle service to the nearest town free of charge from the hotel too which is great

The location is very beautiful and the room is well designed. Overall service has been great from most of staff. Our 1st room was placed right in front of kids swimming pool area(we did requested quiet room on trip

It was my birthday when I was there and the staff gave me a cake and the cleaner did some lovely towel art. The waters is very much an adult hotel and we felt that all the guests were very respectful of each other

Really loved our swim up room. Felt like you had your own private pool. It was all so spotlessly clean. All the staff were so lovely and friendly. You never passed them without being greeted

The gardens were so well manicured The choice at breakfast was very varied. You can't possibly complain about the choice, there was something for everyone

the room is directly connected to one pool, so you can immediatly jump into the water after you wake up. Every day cleaning, fresh towels if required and 2 bottle of water are included

Very secluded place. A large beach. Plenty of sunbeds. Diverse a pool area with Jacuzzi.

Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Setting is lovely great selection of pools. Including swim up cocktail bar. Next door there is a beach restaurant which does great food and cocktails

There is loud shouting running around excessive drinking and people throwing each other into the pool. The behavior feels more like a kindergarten than a hotel of this standard

We had a wonderful holiday and would thoroughly recommend Beyond Resort Khaolak. We are certainly hoping to return!

For several days now a large French tour group has been constantly disturbing the atmosphere at both the pool and the beach

Idyllic, with kindness spread by the employees working there - you literally feel embraced and held by this place. The quiet swimming pool and the ponds with its views are my two highlights

The pool has many features like jacuzzi parts, platforms that you can lie on if you want to remain in water but get some sun, and bar stools

The pool by the beach is perfect if you want to have a few cocktails and lounge around by the pool with them

We enjoyed sitting on the patio for our morning coffee or to escape the rain. We ate at the breakfast buffet most mornings and it was extensive. We both have food allergies: gluten and alpha gal (red meat, dairy)

The beach is like any beach in Thailand but to the right you have an amazing massage place and to the left you have restaurants and fire shows twice (I think) a week. Khao Lak centre is a 15-20 min ride

To sum up, my husband and I fell in love and will be coming back as soon as possible. grateful for the hotel for introducing me to pandan juice, which I am now obsessed with
