Diamond Beach Resort in Koh Tao Island

Perfect place to stay and relax. We got a private room and it was amazing with beautiful beach view. Beach is packed during the day and for good reason. Nice beach with plenty of seats and the snorkelling was great. I was surprised on how many fish I seen and the coral actually been alive and with colour.
You can hire snorkelling gear at the front.
There is a restaurant next door that does really good food and you can walk along the beach to it

Nice location they have! the bungalow are quite small but nice! one problem is the stincky bathroom… we change 2 bungalows over our stay and both had bad smell.. still worth it thanks to an astonishing view of the beach

Really enjoyed our stay here. Staff very accommodating (they allowed us to reduce a night without hassle) and were friendly. The rooms are spacious, clean and have great a/c. Our room was also right next to the beach which is a nice place for a swim/snorkel. A couple of nice places to eat and grab a drink nearby too. Great value for money. Would happily stay here again!

10/10 and great value for money!! Tanote beach is definitely the best on the island. stayed in the cheaper (fan) and the more expensive modern (air con) bungalows as I wanted to extend my stay, both were great for their prices. Fan and Aircon were quiet, beds were comfy. Gorgeous little squirrels jumping around in the trees, lots of butterflies and 10 steps from the sand. The family that run it are really nice, did a great job with my laundry, 5 other food options on the beach and there’s a fantastic dive Center right next door (Buddha view).

The only catch is that you’ll have to rent a bike to get around as you can’t walk to other areas, and the road getting to and from it is twisty and steep, but also many roads in Koh Tao are like this (wouldn’t recommend for first time bike renters but we managed fine!) but if you don’t want to rent, the beach has everything you need.

We stayed here for two nights in one of the mini bungalows just off the beach. The location is serene and the room was really nice and clean. Despite choosing a no aircon room it was not too hot at all. You can rent snorkels from here too which was useful! We did not eat in the restaurant as it was a little tired and run down, however there are several other places on the beach to eat.

I enjoyed my staying in here. Little and quite spartan rooms but quite pleasant and clean.
I had an amazing view on the bay.
Also the food at their restaurant was one of the best in the bay.

They own Tanote beach as far as location. Tanote is by far one of the best if not best bay on Koh Tao. Quiet at night, and plenty of food options (about 5). This is the place to stay though for proximity to beach and price. Would definitely come back

Perfect location and equally wonderfully priced. Some of the bungalows are (contrary to advertised) actually right on the beach!
Staff is super friendly and rooms cleaned regularly.
To us it seemed the best location on Koh Tao!

View of the beach just in front, nice fish for snorkeling. Small bungalow for 2 persons it's enough space. Just perfect for us. Little far from the downtown. Nice owner.

A nice resort, right on Tanote Bay. The rooms are very small, with just bed(s), mosquito net, fan, and a mirror with seat, and a washroom with shower & toilet inside. The cottages each have a little balcony with lawn chairs, which were perfect for listening to the surf and feeling the evening breeze. They range from right the beach's edge to a short walk up the hill. Mosquitos weren't bad, particularly with the constant breeze. Although the bay can be great for snorkeling, the wind from the NE made the waters too choppy most of the time. They run a pickup truck shuttle about 4 times each day, leaving from the resort between 8:30 - 14:30. It costs 100 THB / person. The same driver can be hired for the return trip for 400 THB. Food in the restaurant was pricey and mediocre; eat in the adjacent resorts and restaurants instead.
