The room was very neat and very spacious for 2 including a good broad balcony. The staffs were friendly and helped us book our snorkeling tours along with our return ticket from koh tao to surat thani airport. Also they have free shuttle to and from the pier which is very helpful. They have a good breakfast buffet as well 😋

The resort was in a fabulous location! Close to all the shops and restaurants without being in the thick of things! Lovely restaurant with really excellent food for lunch and dinner. You can even dine on the beach if the tide is out, which was so beautiful during sunset! Breakfast was simple but the eggs were fresh and there was always good coffee, yummy bread and fruit.
The service was amazing. Our a/c went out one day and the staff fixed it within a half hour. Everything was clean and the pool was nice. Scooter rentals right at the hotel if you’re brave enough. 😉

A very pleasant hotel, was a holiday on holiday kind of feel. Staff were excellent.

Location fab.

Negative - a very dangerous, unusable treadmill was still allowed to be used by guests in the gym. Belt needs to be tensioned or replaced. Should have been decommissioned.

Montra Resort is a really authentic and full service resort. Clean and spasuous rooms. Situated at the very beach front just 5 min. from city center of Koh Tao makes it perfect for enjoying all Koh Tao can offer. Booking and check-in was easy and effortless. Communication in beforhand had Quick response. With its own large pool, gym, massage and one of the best PADI dive centers Montra Resort has everything you need to enjoy Koh Tao.

Place is comfortable and near the ferry and shops. Service is great. Price is over the top for the condition it is in, definitely need a good update to the furnishings, bathroom, swimming pool, a good area on the beach to enjoy the warmth and sun. It’s more of a 3 star hotel. Or maybe it’s just the island. Great view of the sunset

The rooms were OK, large bed good airconditioning. The shower did not always have warm water which was very irritating. The location was quite good, easy walk from the pier and to the center (although that isnt a very difficult feat on a small island as Koh Tao). Swimming pool had a lot of leaves in it and the jacuzzi looked really gross.
When we stayed there was some maintenance on the power/water so for a few hours we had no electricity or water for the toilet/shower. It was supposed to be fixed at 7pm but ended up being fixed at around 10:30pm. This was very stressful for charging our phones in order to set an alarm for the next day. The water was black when turned on again and took a while to return to normal.
Staff was friendly but seemed a bit clueless (perhaps thats just my speculation).
Restaurant wasn't special or very good (lots of fastfood options and not a lot of healthier choices) - recommend just going out to eat instead.

Great service, especially from the boys down at the pool. The place does need a bit of work, to make it overall a bit cleaner. Breakfast isn’t the best I’ve had in Thailand, but excellent view each morning. Not the best location if you’re looking for sairee beach activity as it’s a bit of a walk, however plenty of other restaurants/activities only a 2 minute walk away.

Beautifully located resort right by the beach, just a short walk from the pier. The pool area is spacious and well maintained, and the sea views are fantastic. The rooms are large and comfortable, though some could use a little renovation. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is good. Overall, a great place to stay on Koh Tao with an excellent location and relaxing atmosphere.
