Hyatt Regency Koh Samui in Chaweng Beach

We had a pleasant stay at Hyatt. Having moved from a nearby hotel, we were happy to see how modern and clean the facilities were. Coconut drinks at breakfast buffet were a plus and the beach was small but cozy. One downside though-- We were away 10am-330pm on our second day and came back to the room to find it still not cleaned... the staff was starting cleaning at 330 which felt very late and inconvenient as we were ready to rest..

The room view was amazing, and the breakfast selection was really diverse. The kids had a blast in the pool, and there was also a kids' club with various activities scheduled throughout the day.

The hotel facilities are pretty good, and the rooms are standard. Breakfast offers a wide variety. However, the executive lounge's light meals and drinks are inferior in variety and quality compared to the Hyatt Bali.

The biggest drawback of this hotel is the beach. It's not fine sand but rather a mix of pebbles and rocks. Firstly, it's almost impossible to walk barefoot on the beach, and secondly, swimming isn't an option. This hotel is not suitable for families who enjoy playing on sandy beaches or need to swim in the sea.

Everyone was incredibly helpful and hospitable and the resort is absolutely stunning!!!awish yhe beach had more white sand,but we had an incredible experience!We will be back for sure

Stunning hotel. Very helpful staff. The place is a little far from the center but full of its own charm. Excellent breakfast

Enjoyed our 3 night stay here, long overdue as we had a stay during covid that was cancelled. It's a luxury but not "over the top" luxury property. It's literally 10 minutes from the airport so pretty convenient.

The street that the hotel is on, there's not much to see within a 10 min walking distance (aside from taxi mafia) so you'll need to use grab to get places.

Globalist treatment is decent, there is a lounge (rare for resort properties) but it does close early at 7pm.

Beach is pretty nice but there isn't much sand anymore. Beautiful pools, but they close super early. Small critique is that some of the walkways are poorly lit at night requiring phone lights. But everything else is good and will definitely return.

This is an incredible resort with nice rooms and impeccable views. The only 2 negatives are:

1) This is a very kid friendly resort, which is fine, however, if you’re going to designate some areas as “adult only” please enforce them. There were like 50 kids running around the resort yelling and screaming and for those of us wanting quiet time, in the adult only areas, we couldn’t have this. Even in the cocktail lounge in the evening (after 10pm) there were kids running around.

2) We had dinner at the Sesun and it was one of the worst and most overpriced dinners we’ve had. Keep in mind that we’ve been traveling around south east Asia for a month. We got the chicken and squid. The chicken was fine but the squid was very chewy. The entrees just came with a piece of corn. Including 2 drinks and the mediocre salad bar (which was included in the dinner), we spent nearly $100 USD.

We did enjoy the ocean view room we got. The rooms are nice and spacious. The breakfast buffet is really good. I would also recommend paying for access to the lounge as you get snacks throughout the day and drinks at night.

If you’re a family with kids, this place is great. Otherwise, I would reconsider staying here if you’re looking for down time.

Very good hotel 🔥

I normally do not write reviews, but I decided to write one for Hyatt Regency at Koh Samui. My husband decided to take both my son and I here to celebrate our 15-year wedding anniversary and I’m so glad he did!! This place took our breaths away. Everything was just so clean and so modern looking. The lobby itself was one of the best highlights of this vacation. The staff welcomed us so warmly and made us feel like family there and they are also soooo accommodating!! Top customer service is a big deal to me and this hotel and the staff nailed it. We didn’t run into any issues at all and we find the food here amazing and they offer a good variety of options. We will definitely come back again!!
