**ENDED UP IN AN AMBULANCE AND SENT TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM DURING NEW YEAR'S EVE BECAUSE OF THIS HOTEL, AND THEY HAVE TAKEN NO ACCOUNTABILITY.”

The hotel staff had left a bottle of essential oils, IN A REGULAR HOTEL WATERBOTTLE THAT WAS A CLEAR LIQUID, and left it in our hotel room. I assumed this bottle was regular water, which it looked like, and I had already drunk from it before I realized it wasn’t water. Within 5 minutes, my heart rate was very high, my throat started to close up, and my body was weak and twitching. My family was yelling at the hotel staff for an ambulance, but they did not take it seriously at all, even though they saw me lying down in severe pain… At that time, the staff also wouldn't tell me what was in the bottle.

“Essential oils are extremely concentrated plant extracts and ingesting them can lead to a range of severe health problems, from chemical burns to organ failure and even DEATH.”

Fortunately, I only ingested a small amount, so I just experienced stomach pain for a couple of days. After visiting the hospital, we repeatedly asked staff to connect us with management and/or the owners, but they refused. It took two days to receive a refund for the hospital bill. I still haven’t received a direct apology or compensation for the horror I went through. Additionally, we faced serious toilet issues with sewage on the floor, and after waiting from 9:00 to 23:00, they told us they had cleaned and fixed the issue. However, the bathroom wasn’t properly cleaned even after multiple assurances, and it leaked again the next day. On that following day, they finally cleaned and this is when they brought the essential oil freshener to improve the smell. This situation highlights major management problems that need to be addressed at this hotel.
