Shine Talay Guesthouse in Lanta Island

A very nice beachside restauarant. You can sit on a deck facing the beach. Part of it is roofed and part of it is open if thats your thing. There is a nice swing set.

The menu includes an expansive Western and comprehensive Thai menu. Their Tom Yum Gai is excellent! Their ice coffee is very good too.

The service was excellent and the vibe was great. Very good value for whar you get.

I am glad that we happened to stop here for lunch! I highly recommend.

The food was excellent, especially the fish and prawns. Loved the atmosphere, such a nice chill vibe and great scenery of the sea.

We went to Lanta Old Town. There were lots of cute family owned shops to explore to buy souvenirs for family, friends or yourself. Lots of restaurants right over the water. Was hard to decide on which one, they all looked good. We took a chance on Shine Talay. My husband saw their happy hour menu and that sealed his choice 😂. We decided to try everything on the 99 baht menu but passed on the vegetable spring rolls and went with the salami, cheese and basil toast.
Everything was good and at that price sitting over the water with a nice sea view and the staff were super friendly made the occasion great. Food came out quick but the food could be a little bit spicier for our liking.
They had some ride toys in the middle of the restaurant for smaller kids so their parents can enjoy eating in peace which is a great idea. Over all, I would recommend Shine Talay and going to Lanta Old Town for a half day excursion.

As you walk past the ocean breeze rushes past you and takes with it the smell of the most delicious seafood and it strikes your nostrils like a viper. We had to go in side. We were greeted with warm Thai smiles from Film. He graciously sat us down and made sure we understood the menu. We took his recommendations and were not disappointed. A zesty steamed fish, sweet and sticky tamarind prawns, the best massaman so far, and an aromatic yellow crab curry- legs full of of meat. A must tr when you’re in lanta. Don’t a cardi for that ocean breeze.

Very tasty sea food! We had shrimp, squish and papaya salad, all of them had large enough portions and the taste was very fresh. In total, we had two dishes per person.

Didn't stay in the hotel but had a delicious meal on the deck overlooking the bay. Very picturesque. Good service. Would highly recommend if you're visiting old town

Good food, very varied choice of seafood. Good service. Happy hours for cocktails: 2-for-1 in a specific timeframe.

Five stars! Had a plan to visit other restaurant but it was closed. So we picked this one and it was surprisingly good. One of the best lobster I have had going to the Iceland langoustine level.

Other seafood items were good as well. Friendly service. This was very good experience. Recommending highly.
