Amber Sands Beach Resort in Chang Island

We absolutely loved our stay here! Simon and his wife created such a welcoming atmosphere - their warmth made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The room exceeded our expectations: spotlessly clean and comfortable, with a good bed.

The beach was a highlight - peaceful and beautifully maintained, with plenty of space to relax without crowds. Some areas have rocks while others don't, so we didn't need our water shoes in the end. The pool area was equally enjoyable.

The restaurant was great with its variety, quality, and efficient service. Don't miss the omelet at breakfast - easily one of the best I've had anywhere. They also serve excellent coffee, which made our mornings perfect.

We tried the beachside massage service and found it to be both high quality and reasonably priced - a wonderful addition to our stay.

What really stands out is the exceptional value. Everything from the accommodations to the amenities is priced very fairly, making this a rare find.

Traveling with our 17-month-old son, and staying at Amber Sands Beach Resort for 6 days, we especially appreciated the tranquil beach setting and family-friendly environment. We're already thinking of a return visit for the combination of beautiful beach, peaceful surroundings, and Simon's attentive team. Highly recommended!

Amber Sands Beach Resort is a wonderful place to stay during your visit to Koh Chang. The bungalows are beautiful, and Simon and his family(including the cats:) ) made our stay extremely comfortable.

At night, you can sit on the beach and gaze at the stars — a truly magical experience.
You will need a car if you want to explore the other side of the island, such as Long Beach, where the water is crystal clear.

On the way there, we highly recommend stopping at Aoy’s Little Farm and Bakery.
Overall, we had a fantastic time and a wonderful stay. Thank you once again for this amazing experience!

We spent 4 wonderful nights at Amber Sand Resort, staying in the beautiful Bungalow 4.
The garden and pool area are very well maintained, and the sunbeds by the pool are super comfortable. Our room was large and convenient, with a big comfortable bed, fridge, and safe. Everything was always clean, and we received complimentary bottles of water every day.

The atmosphere at the resort is very calm and relaxing. There are also kayaks available for guests to use free of charge. The restaurant is located right by the water, which makes every meal feel special, and we especially loved the breakfast.

The owner, Simon, is an Englishman who lives here, and he is incredibly friendly and welcoming. He met us at the nearest pier when we arrived, and when we left he even drove us to White Sand Beach so we could catch our transfer to the ferry. His family and the whole team are also very kind and warm people, which made our stay feel even more special.

We truly enjoyed our time here and would be happy to return!

We stayed here for nearly a week and really enjoyed it! The property is beautiful and well maintained with many options for seating/sunbathing/chilling. The bungalows are cosy with storage space and a small fridge. The restaurant has many food options at very reasonable prices. The owners are lovely and helpful. We did not like the bathroom as it was small and didn't have a lot of space for our stuff. Clean though. It was also not in line with the comfort and design of the bungalows and property.

Good to know: you absolutely need a vehicle to get to town but you also can get a morning ride when the owner goes grocery shopping. The property restaurant takes last orders at 19.30.

The staff and owner are friendly and accommodating, adding to the overall pleasant experience. If you're seeking calm and peace in a beautiful setting, this place is a great choice for your stay in Koh Chang.

A place with a very beautiful surrounding atmosphere, delicious food, and impressive service staff. And most importantly, there is a great live band performance.

This place is wonderful. First of all, the staff is so friendly and helpful. It made our stay extra special. The resort has all the facilities you need; a pool, kayaks, restaurant, live music, we loved it. The garden is also worth mentioning, it’s maintained on a daily basis and it looks stunning. The resort is small-scale which was a big plus for us, it’s all nice and quiet. A big recommendation for people who just want to enjoy the quieter side of Koh Chang!

A lovely family run little resort. If you’re looking for something authentic, quiet and with great energy you should stay here. They have only 8 bungalows that are pretty private. All rooms are surrounded by a beautiful garden, there is a small/ but big enough pool and because there aren’t that many people that stay at 1 time you feel like the pool is yours. They have a cool restaurant with pretty decent food, the chicken and cashew nut dish is very good! All of the staff are lovely and because they are a family you get a homely feel.

When we first came to Koh Chang we stayed at a big resort (emerald cove) and then we came here and I can definitely say Amber Sands had something else. They sorted a bike hire for us and even dropped of us off to the port.
