Evergreen Kohchang Resort in Chang Island

Beautiful place

Had a wonderful stay in Elegant Horizons. I especially enjoyed the fantastic ocean view from the living room. I highly recommend this villa to anyone.

Very clean hotel, friendly and helpful staff, nice well-kept garden, small but also tidy and well-kept pool, decent sized rooms, change of towels and 2 bottles of water every day, very good and plentiful breakfast. Good restaurant at great prices, free bikes and the possibility of renting a scooter with good brakes (and believe me they will be useful! Steep stretches of road with some very dangerous curves especially at night). For those who don't feel like driving a scooter there is a free shuttle at set times to and from the white sand beach. The only negative note is that you are a bit far from everything including the beaches, which in my humble opinion are not that great. My advice for the hotel is only to add one or two trips on the shuttle to the beach.

I would like to point out that it is far from the beaches and consequently also from the restaurants, a bit problematic in the evening because even with a scooter it is not easy to move, roads are not well lit and three curves are really dangerous even for experts. The vote is for the cleanliness (which is rare on this island) for the greenery and the silence! A place of peace and relaxation, unfortunately in Koh Chang the sea is certainly not beautiful, so let's say that we enjoyed the greenery of the jungle. The restaurant is good and so you can have dinner here and avoid night accidents with the scooter.

Beautiful hotel with a small gorgeous pool. Surrounded by lush gardens and in the sun. Location quiet. ATM machine and 7 Eleven very close by. Staff attentive, spoke basic English but very polite and helpful. They offer free shuttle services to the ferry pier and White Sands beach. My room was on the first floor and had a balcony with a view of the gorgeous pool. The room and bathroom were a good size. Very comfortable and clean. There was only luke warm water in the shower but the pressure was good. I had mentioned the lack of hot water and they did fix it immediately but I think that was the best they could do. The safe in the room isn't fixed. The place was exceptionally clean. The breakfast is great, buffet style, not many vegetarian options. The fruit was the best! No fresh coffee though, only instant granules. I had dinner at the restaurant my first night as I got in at 7pm. They made me a tofu vegetarian option, which was nice of them. It wasn't the tastiest meal I had but the prices at the restaurant are reasonable. They respond immediately to messages via Agoda and WhatsApp. I really enjoyed my 3 night stay here. I had wanted to stay longer but it was fully booked. I had to go elsewhere but they even dropped me off at my next hotel. So lovely. Shame I couldn't stay longer!
