Chai Chet Resort Koh Chang in Chang Island

I really like Cha Chet. This is our second year vacationing here. This time we chose a beach villa. We love everything, especially the beach. Breakfasts are decent – we never went hungry, there's always a good selection. The only downside is no coffee machine, but it's not a big deal.

The location is excellent, with shops and cafes nearby, a good beach, and a large hotel territory. The kettle in the room wasn't working, but I didn't even bother to complain. My room category was a Villa near the garden, with views of the walls of neighboring villas and a partial sea view. Housekeeping was upon request. Breakfasts were very average, but you won't go hungry.

Excellent hotel, we really enjoyed everything. The staff was very attentive. The sea is nearby. There are enough sun loungers for everyone. Breakfasts are good. There's a 7/11, street food stalls (makashnitsy), and a buffet close by. The coastline is long, great for walks. There's a fire show every evening on the beach. The grounds are clean and well-maintained. I recommend this hotel.

The rooms are in need of renovation; the furnishings are very modest. The mattresses and pillows are uncomfortable. Breakfasts are also modest; coffee is from a pot, and there are no croissants, but you can still get your fill. All of this can be forgiven because of the hotel's stunning grounds and incredible sunsets. I think this hotel has the best beach! I'm already dreaming of going back!

I really liked the pool area, the water temperature was great. The ladies offer an affordable and high-quality massage for 300 baht.

Fresh fruit is available at breakfast, but the coffee isn't very good.

The room itself is unremarkable.
The soundproofing is terrible.

The beach right by the hotel is the least attractive on this stretch. A lot of debris washes ashore, and it's not cleaned up very well. If you walk a bit further down the coast, you'll find much nicer and more idyllic spots.

Absolutely stunning resort, great view of the bay. Staff were very friendly and always helpful! All facilities were great including beautiful swimming pool and dining in the evening was lovely.Torrential rain flooded our room one night but the staff quickly moved us and offered discount etc so we were happy to stay again. 10/10 would come here again to stay !

Very well run resort, ideal for our 5 days on the island. We spent our time between the beach and the lovely swimming pool, both never felt busy at all, plenty of loungers and loads of room. The beach is good for swimming, low tide you'll need to walk out a bit to get deep, but it wasn't a bother. The swimming pool is fantastic, the best we've found in Thailand. Credit to the staff, they are very attentive and friendly. Breakfast was great, they lean more towards Asian style breakfast (not a bad thing), the French toast was really nice, shame it was only available on one of the morning. My only suggestion to make the breakfast even better is to have some pastries on offer, apart from that brilliant. The rooms are comfortable and clean, yes they are slightly dated now but it almost gives off a little charm, you don't come to Koh Chang to sit in your room! The location of the resort is great, you have everything you need around you, loads of nice cheap restaurants, and a handy Seven 11. My onlu negative was the hire fee for the kayaks at 300 baht per hour which I thought was high, for this reason we didn't use them. Maybe they could be free to use for guests for 1 hour, anything past that could be charged? All in all a great stay, I'd highly recommend if you're looking for a place where you can relax, chill and enjoy the sunshine, the resort has everything you need!

Nice resort with clean and beautiful bungalows. Beach just a minute or two away. Pool nice but little busy. Breakfast so so.
