The hotel restaurant is excellent, highly recommended. Good portions and good prices, cheaper than at Sairee Beach in the center

The resort has a rubbish problem slowly building up under each bungalow, along the beaches and walkways, our family collected rubbish everytime we swam or walked anywhere and my b-in-law attempted to deposit a huge bag of garbage with Reception but was laughed at and refused, sending him away pointing outside the resort

We had dinner in the restaurant above the beach and the food and service was impeccable

We extended our stay at this place because we really liked the sea view, comfortable bungalows with a beautiful view, and the seclusion of the accommodations, yet close proximity to shops, cafes, and massages: everything is a 10-minute walk away, a bit uphill, so I wouldn't recommend it for older people

My recommendation to the hotel is to invest in updating the bathrooms and plumbing in the rooms. And keep the air conditioners clean! Otherwise, everything is great

I informed reception at 5pm one night that the women’s bathroom next to lobby was very dirty and bin overflowing with used toilet tissue (Thai toilets can’t flush) and was told by two Thai receptionists doing absolutely nothing that I should use another toilet and cleaners were back in the morning! A dream hotel right on Koh Tao beach, with a beautiful pool! The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, so during our stay, some rooms were under construction (but there was no noise), and the gym wasn't usable

I have stayed in different hotels on Koh Tao, and Koh Tao Regal was the best! For the affordable price we have got a spacious room with a nice balcony with an amazing view to the beach and swimming pool

The hotel has 3 huge swimming pools! I guess just couple hotels on Koh Tao have swimming pools of that size, because we are on the island, with lack of fresh water! Amazing! And the beach is almost under your balcony

Really nice property away from the busy towns full of travellers. Very peaceful if you want to just relax there. You can walk round to freedom beach and sharks bay albeit it is a walk

On the way there’s other places to eat and dive. Hotels runs a free shuttle 3 times a week to one of the towns. Otherwise they offer a taxi service at 100thb pp each way

5 minutes walk to small calm beach with perfect snorkeling opportunities. Resort is placed naturally in the area so it doesn’t feel like a hotel. Friendly professional staff that were always very helpful

A small local run operation which has great ocean view rooms. It is located away from the busy town area on a cliff at the southern part of the island. In front of it is a small sandy beach, great for snorkeling

It is a quiet place with a beach infront, where the snorkling is great (we even saw a turtle!). In 15 minutes you can get to Chalok baan kao bay where you find 7/11, pharmacy, massages, bars, restaurant, etc

I have traveled to sai nuan beach and ate in their restaurant, the food and service was great (fruit salad + cocunut vegetables rice soup) nice place to chill from the heat

PD is only 10 minutes from the pier, but it’s a very hilly journey and it does feel a bit remote, although Chalok beach is a rugged 20 minute walk and has shops, banks, restaurants

The scooters are too expensive and not good compared to any other accommodation we've stayed in. The beach section is short and nice. Unfortunately, the complex is not that nice to look at. We cut our stay short and left

The personel/staff was outstanding friendly, helping wherever they can and very forthcomming. The view from the room is stunning

This resort is very conveniently located in Sairee beach just at the beginning of it. Quiet enough and away enough to enjoy the quiet but close enough to the party if that’s what you want

Small place pleasing service Its a small property but convenient in the road which had eateries etc. My room with a direct full beach view was great. The restaurant access is the other side of the road but convenient

Walking distance down a slope to all the bars and restaurants ( beware if you struggle with uphill for on the way home) We stayed in the ocean view rooms which we were pleased with

Our stay was amazing, truly a dream! We picked a beach-side bungalow without AC and I don't regret our choice because the ventilator was enough (despite the 36 degree felt temperature in the night, you just have to place it in front of the bed, inside the mosquito net) and it came with some major upsides: - The sea just below our balcony

PERKS OF TAO TONG 1: - Two of the best snorkeling spots on the island are here! There are two bays in different directions, so if there sea is too choppy on one side, you can snorkel on the other! Yes the location is in the middle of nowhere but you can check this before you book as it’s quite obvious on a map. And the resort also provides a taxi as and when you need it for a very small cost

- Lots of wind, so less mosquitos. - Very private location, barely any people passing by, the balcony was pretty much out of sight. - Absolutely no street noise besides the very few boats

- If the wind isn't blowing at the balcony, it probably will be at the restaurant. - The restaurant is GREAT and open from 8 am to 8 pm, which is great for breakfast and rainy, lazy days

It is very difficult to evaluate the hotel as everything depends on the room you have chosen, there is construction on the territory and this concerns not only this hotel but the whole Siri Beach

We had an okay stay at AC 2 resort the room was reasonably clean however had a couple of patches of mould. The resort is lovely though looks very appealing and is in the perfect location

However, had an issue with our room where someone else had been put in our room even thought we had paid for it. We booked a villa with garden view however only received a double room

The two free bottles per day are given to you at reception. The place facing the sea (AC2 restaurant) does not have sunbeds on the beach but uncomfortable sofas made from pallets

Another time at Tanote Bay Family Resort It was my sixth stay in this resort, what remains unchanged is staff - always full of smiles and really helpfull, beatiful beach, nice lonely location, perfect snorkeling, great food in restaurant

I had an amazing stay at Family Tanote Bay Resort! The views are absolutely breathtaking—every window offers a stunning panorama of the bay

Probably some of the best room prices on the island, ~1,000 baht for a private fan bungalow with a king size bed, full bathroom with heated shower, hammock on the porch, and lots of room inside

Kayak rentals, and lounging chairs on the beach beneath the beautiful trees. Right next door to Calypso Scuba for easy mask and snorkel rentals

Beach front view and nice big room. A bit of smelling from water and in bathroom. Bed sheet and blankets can be cleaner than this

The resort was only a 5 min or so walk from the main beach/shops - it was removed from the noise of the parties so you could get a good sleep if you needed! Very close to the beach (as are most places)

Got the cheap room with a fan (by choice). Very nice location directly at the beach. Complimentary water in the room with fridge. Complimentary coffee/tea at the lobby (though they opens at 7am-ish, which is late for me)

Gold, black and velour dominate, with ornate mirrors, swan necked taps and even a thick faux fur cloth on the dressing table. It is theatrical and eye catching, but it feels more like decoration than quality

There are no bedside tables, no proper seating area to enjoy the view, nowhere convenient to put luggage and nowhere to hang clothes or washing. It is essentially two large beds in a very large empty space

In fact, the following morning produced one of those real “wow” moments. When Ros drew back the enormous curtains it looked almost unreal, like staring at a 360° cinema screen at the foot of the bed

On closer inspection much of it looks ornamental rather than genuinely well made. More importantly, as a practical hotel room it simply does not work very well

Simply put it's a wonderful place to spend a few days, especially if you like snorkeling. The staff provide excellent food and service

They also provide a ferry service to the town and back, twice per day, free of charge

Snorkelling gear was provided by the hotel but of poor quality and old. Room was unclean and aircond compressor was rusty. Thatched roof was partly flown off really shows that the hotel is not well maintained

View is absolutely incredible. Felt pressured to buy something. Food prices are insane because it’s the only option here. I got a banana smoothie for 100 thb which was extremely nice

Literally on the beach for excellent views but in a ‘proper’ enviroment. Not a beach shack at all and with a decent loo! The food was spectacular…cannot say better.

There are plenty of fish to see right off the shore and two dive schools are located directly on the beach. Two excellent restaurants are also just next door, and the whole place is run as a friendly family business

The beach itself isn’t ideal for relaxing walks: there’s hardly any sand, mostly gravel and broken coral, which makes walking uncomfortable

Stray dogs often poop the beach and during the day, party tourists can be quite intrusive

I can’t add much more regarding the room and the food but would just like to highly recommend Ross resort as I noticed there aren’t many recent reviews for it and they deserve business

We stayed at Bro & Sis Place in Koh Tao for a short stopover, and it was exactly what we needed — a simple, convenient place to sleep before onward travel. The rooms are basic but clean and functional

Being within easy walking distance removes a lot of travel stress, especially with luggage. There are also shops, cafes, and restaurants nearby, so everything you need is within reach

It’s not luxury accommodation, but it’s comfortable enough for a night or two and has the essentials covered. If you’re just looking for somewhere to rest your head, it does the job

Overall, nothing exceptional — but it’s fairly priced, practical, and well located for short stays or onward travel. A solid option if convenience is your priority

The biggest advantage is definitely the location. It’s very close to Mae Haad Pier, which makes it ideal if you’re catching an early ferry or arriving late

I enjoyed my stay at the Simple Life Talay & Divers Resort. Close to everything including the ocean and beach etc. The staff were excellent, very helpful, polite and kind

The room was good, nothing super special but we were also staying in the "back" away from the ocean/pool due to the price we chose

But great to have the mini-fridge and warm water shower cuz the weather was unseasonably cool and rained one day

Oddly enough, the room didn't have a window in the front, just 4 "glass" blocks so it felt like a cave at times

The layered pools were very cool too and of course you have an amazing view of the ocean from all levels

All in all, Charm Churee is good bang for your buck, especially if you want a good Beach, however the resort quality itself is lacking

Everything was clean and well maintained. Just nearby there is a small bay with a unique, quiet beach and incredibly clear water- a real hidden gem

I was slightly concerned at first because the reviews were split and many people commented about it being an abandoned place HOWEVER I am glad I still decided to book a room here because staying at this hotel was my highlight in koh tao
